I changed my address with CIC on February 2 and on that same day, I paid Canada Post $93 to have my mail forwarded to my new address for one year.
CIC says my PR card was mailed to my new address on February 7. Well, two agents did. One agent said the address on my PR card application was my old address and that's where it was sent.
On February 25, I was told that there was mail at my old address and opened a ticket with Canada Post to say that mail was being forwarded to my old address. From what I was told the mail was returned to sender. (There's a lot left out here but basically someone threatened to throw away my mail because of a perceived disagreement.)
On February 29, Canada Post made a note on my forwarding account that there was a piece of government mail that could not be forwarded. The agent on the phone said it would have been returned to sender.
On March 10, CIC said they didn't get anything returned to sender and I just have to wait.
I am so sick and tired of this.
Why put such great importance on the PR card but treat it with no importance at all when it's being sent out. These things needs tracking numbers. This is just crazy.
