Hi all,

Can we track PR card process through the ECAS?

I am SINP nominated guy. Went to BC for Vaction crossed the border there with no question asked. I sure there is 100% no problem in Landing border or crossing border anywhere.

Hi Guys,

Anyone here who finish his/her landing in another province rather then nominated province?
Example;nomination from BC but finish landing at us border near Edmonton,AB.

Seniors and other friends please give your suggestion please

Thanks

I changed my address with CIC on February 2 and on that same day, I paid Canada Post $93 to have my mail forwarded to my new address for one year.

CIC says my PR card was mailed to my new address on February 7. Well, two agents did. One agent said the address on my PR card application was my old address and that's where it was sent.

On February 25, I was told that there was mail at my old address and opened a ticket with Canada Post to say that mail was being forwarded to my old address. From what I was told the mail was returned to sender. (There's a lot left out here but basically someone threatened to throw away my mail because of a perceived disagreement.)

On February 29, Canada Post made a note on my forwarding account that there was a piece of government mail that could not be forwarded. The agent on the phone said it would have been returned to sender.

On March 10, CIC said they didn't get anything returned to sender and I just have to wait.

I am so sick and tired of this.

Why put such great importance on the PR card but treat it with no importance at all when it's being sent out. These things need tracking numbers. This is just crazy.

It's so sad to hear this... I hope you get it soon though.

They should take the fees of tracking mail from us too but I think it's too complicated or something else that we are not thinking about.

There is no way to track your PR card other then calling them.
You do not need to worry about photos since you have taken them as per new specifications.

So I landed on the 1st of March. I have a trip booked and paid for in June to Barcelona.
The timing is tight, but I saw on the CIC website that you can send in a CSE for urgent processing by including your itinerary and receipt of travel.

I sent in my CSE and got the response "This message is to inform you that we have received your request asking us to process your Permanent Resident Card (PR card) urgently, but that there is no urgent procedure for new permanent residents"

So just a heads up for anybody else thinking of doing the same. Apparently they can't urgently process our cards.

Here's hoping it comes int he mail, otherwise I am going to have to either bail from my trip or go to Madrid, as there is no VAC in Barcelona >:(

friends..landed dec15 2015, i havent received pr card until today..is it normal? can u guys please help which phone number should i contact to track status of my pr card? thanks

You have to call them to check the status. 1 (888) 242-2100 inside Canada.

@rm4u
I have sent pics of my child and it was recd on Mar 7th. Still there is no response whether the pictures are okay or they are preparing PR card. It looks like it takes a minimum of a month. Since the processing time has increased to 50 days, just waiting.
