Bill C6 is delayed till Fall because there is no way it will be passed before July. It is not easy to push the bills and Liberal does not have that much experience. Anyway Immigrants are the lowest rung in society so who care

nothing we can complain, what we can do is wait.

Keep in mind bill c-6 is NOT a priority for the Liberals; they will eventually push through the changes but they will not try to expedite the process. To be fair, any other party would have done the same as Citizenship laws are the least of anyone's worries when compared to other matters discussed. I just urge present PRs who will one day become Citizens; to keep this in mind when voting. As glamorous as they may seem, Liberals have a dark history stained with lots of scandals. Conservatives under Harper were a nightmare, I wonder how they will re-brand themselves. NDP seem the least of three evils.

Now the unelected bunch in Senate is opposing RCMP bill. These fat arses enjoying in Senate on taxpayer back is opposing everything proposed by democratically elected House. This is rediculous. The are opposing Assisted dying and now RCMP bill they are in "no hurry to pass". Of course they are no hurry in anything a lazy bunch of taxpayer funded crap in Senate. They need to respect democracy and not impose their will on democratic institution.

C-6 has no chance with this attitude of Senate. No chance.

It's been expected from the day of the first reading in the Commons that this Bill C-6 will face difficulties once it reaches the Senate.
There are a lot of conflict points in this Bill for the Conservative Committee which will work on the Bill. Most of the members in that Senate Committee are appointed by Harper and couple of times in the media was shown that there is a conflicts between the Liberals and the Senate.

Already as mentioned from the members above the Senate is already an obstacle for other Liberal Bills.

This government will have hard mandate working with the Senate.

Thats the problem with this country, no one is embarrassed enough to say what is occurring is wrong. Everyone's in either denial or delusion that everything are good and dandy.

No great nation every came forward without owning up to its blunders and mistakes.

Keep in mind that this bill is not a priority for the vast majority of Canadian citizens - and citizens are the ones who vote MPs into office.

They will resume third reading of bill C-6 in HOC on Thursday(15th June).
Hopefully voting on Thursday or next week.

even if this passes third reading on the 15th, there is no way this passes 4 stages in the Senate in 8 sitting days before the summer break.

Thursday is actually the 16th of June so technically only 5 sitting days will left after that.

This Bill has no chance to pass before the summer recess.

Where did you see that third reading is on 15th ?

The liberals announced yesterday in parliament that the bill will be resuming debate on Thursday, June 16th. You can see it on ParlVu, session June 9th, 3:00pm.

This leaves 7 sitting days in Senate. Happy Fall everyone :)

Really this is an exact what they call B.S. I landed July 2013, next month will be 3 years in the country, my PR based on 3/5 because it is valid for 5 years. C-24 should be affect who landed in 2015 or this stupid C-6 at least correct that matter. I just wonder if there is anyone in the current or previous government or even in the Senate have a brain over his shoulder. God bless all of us who is waiting on handicap politician to play with our life and dreams, just all we got from them false promises just to get in the power.

So, it is just day light dreaming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
