Tourist Visa Still Pending

Hi,

My parents filled for Visa in March 2021, they got their Biometric done in Sep 2021 and have still not received the Visa. Any email to the help desk sends an auto reply and I cant find whom to call.

Is there a redressal forum where we can take this to expediate it ?
any one else facing the same issue?
any suggestions what can be done?

IRCC posted for all to resubmit visitor visa applications after September 7 when travel rules changed. No way to expedite as it has been a year. Where do they live? Are you PR/citizen?

They were routing their application through an agent that is least helpful, is there any weblink that you can share which details about the change in rules ?

Given that the rules were changed in September, I don’t know where the notice is since IRCC pages have changed weekly due to Covid. So your parents should have reapplied using the new portal. You can either reapply (current application will be cancelled) or wait. Your parents application starts over. They will need to show that they are full vaccinated too.

Biometrics are good for 10 years.

I have another question, when applying again, would the fee have to be paid again ? Will the old fees get updated?

Do these Visa's have a smaller turn around time ? Can I change the application category now when we re-apply or will the process have to start from scratch ?

May have quicker turn around time, process starts from scratch and you pay fees. If you have enough income then look at supervisa.

No updates after that.

Hi all I applied my parents application second time but no update my son’s convocation is coming in 2 months what should I do any thoughts on it? Should I reapply or not thx
