We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 16, 2011.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on August 16, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on November 18, 2012.

We sent you a notice on July 16, 2013 to appear and write the citizenship test on August 6, 2013 at 1:00 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

My file was transfer to Scarborough Office 14 January 2013

Application Sent : February 3, 2012
Acknowledgement: February 16, 2012 (With the study book Discover Canada)
In process: Nov, 29th, 2012.
File transfered to Scarborough: Jan 23rd. 2013.
citizenship test notice: August 07, 2013.
Test date: August 28th, 2013

Is there anything i need to be careful about in the interview to avoid getting RQ?

I wrote my citizenship test jun 20/2013, they said it will take 2 - 4 months to get the oath. Another 11 days will be
2 months. and I dont have anything. I called CIC today, he said, my file is on queue for oath, and will take 6 months
from the date of test. so Dec 2013? oh dear,, I got nervous now, Cant wait that long

Nothing specific to be careful with. I have seen people getting RQ at the interview after passing the test. This is extremely weird and unfortunate. Lets hope for the best ... test and interview without RQ. Good luck.

From other's post I see timeline of 1 to 2 months. 6 months sounds really long? They might say such things to cover themselves. What is the "average" timeline from test to oath?

Any idea, how long it takes to transfer file from Sydney to Scarborough these days for recent applications like mine? Thanks in advance.

Hi Chandu! it takes more or less 4 months. Applications are started to process faster than before.
I guess more staff hired otherwise what else changed?
