I was told waiting time for Oath is 1-2 months, haven't received any notice yet.

which office cool blue? you received directly test call after RQ? no hearing. Please give detail.

Jasonsure : I passed my citizenship test and interview on June 20th/2013 and was told to wait 2 - 4 months. Up
until now, I have not got any oath letter yet ( 3 months have passed). Last week I called CIC, my file
has not been processed yet due to a very long backlog.

Hello to all members here,

Finally had to register here to get some info on my citizenship application.

I have applied for citizenship on January 2012 and CIC website says now that they started processing my application on Dec 5th 2012. Until this point I haven't heard anything from the CIC. I called them today morning and was told that my application was transmitted to Mississauga office on Aug 28th and once they receive it I will be notified on the test date. Has anybody had this kind of a situation if so my question would be how long does it take for the Mississauga office to notify me on the test date.

Now, in the same boat as you. I called CIC today and they say my file has now been transferred to Mississauga office on August 29th. I would also like to know how long this office takes to notify on the test date.

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on March 30, 2012.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on March 30, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on December 13, 2012.

My file was transferred to Scarborough office on February 27, 2013.

My time line : applied dec 2011, transferred to scarbourugh office may 2012, test 20 June 2013. I passed the test and interview.
Today 26 sept I called CIC, they said that they are still doing the background check for me. And when such case happens, my total processing time would be 35 months, and then he said I should wait until nov 2014. What is going on here?.

6 months ago when I called CIC , they said they were doing background check on me, then about 5 months ago, they said I passed
my background check and was queued for citizenship test. It seems to me that they give different answers everytime, which make me
very confused. Damn on this all things. I am frustrated.

it could be the last background check expired...they'll have to redo it....

I am in the same boat. I called CIC in september 2013, and agent said my file was transferred to Scarborough in August 2013. When I called today, CIC agent said my file was transferred to Mississauga office on Sept 3, 2013. Don't know what's going on and how long its going to take form here.

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 20, 2012.

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on August 20, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.We started processing your application on December 28, 2012.
Its "In Process" now.

I have an associate of mine, whose application was recieved on March 14, 2012 & they started processing it on December 13, 2012. Its also "In Process" now.
I will post any updates from now on. Also, I applied for my PR card extension & thats in Process too. I applied PR extension a month before my existing one expired. I hope this does not have any -ve impact on the Citizenship application.

I have applied on Oct 2012, but in the Ecas status it says that we have started processing your application on Feb 19th, 2013. I did not hear anything about my test or anything from CIC, do you think i should call them, i called one but she did not say anything. Does any one know, calling frequently (I called one tho) will increase the chance of getting RQ? Anybody with same time line?

Good news. Yesterday we received an invitation for citizenship test on 4th Nov at Mississauga office. The letter is dated Oct 23rd. Online status is not updated yet.

I got a letter from CIC Today, dated 25 October 2013. My Citizenship Exam date is 8th November, 2013 and the center is on Glen Erin Dr., Mississauga.

My timeline is

Applied - January 2012
Started Processing - July 2012
Transferred to Scarborough - Jan 2013 (Center for my address is St. clair)
Transferred to Missisagua - Oct 2013

When I called cic they told me that test is scheduled on Nov-13th at Glen Road Missisagua. I have not yet received any postal notification.
