For people who are pointing me wrong Have anyone of you even consulated with a lawyer before sending your papers in??? I'm sure you have not. Do you know better or a Immigration lawyer? By making mistakes like this that is why the immigration officer replies back to your email after 3 to 4 weeks.

I'm being rude I apologize but a question needs an answer only. I'm not telling her not to send her emotions. She should but for example the part where says would help to prove your relationship is genuine and continuing.

Well the OP is asking for a question which states, "describe how your relationship developed" it does not say describe it by stating facts only and do not include emotions. Yes its good that u have consulted an immigration lawyer , and some of us have not , but will all due respect to your lawyer, bear in mind that some immigration lawyers give bad advice sometimes too. Read around more in this forum and you will see some experiences abt this. And i dont think that including some emotion in answering that particular question is a "MISTAKE" as you put it. Otherwise people who have gone thru succesfully might have not been given visas if this is a "Mistake" . Just my two cents. No harm or disrespect meant :)

Thank you very much for everyone again! I am really glad to receive so many response and this definitely helped me feel better prepared.

One more question as I am assembling the attachments together. For letters that my husband and I sent to each other during our relationship, do we use the original letter or should we use copies?

Thanks again everyone!! Have a nice day!!

What language do u understand? I will try my best to make u understand what I'm saying.
Did I say putting emotions are wrong? And as talking about lawyers. I did not had any lawyer fill out my forms. I did see and consulated lawyers not LAWYER. And all of them adviced me when ur filling your forms not to add to much emotions in but on some questions u can add a little. I know what the question is and what type of answer it needs. All I'm saying is if she will add her emotions to most of her questions the officer will be suspicious.

Claudiakee I'm out of ur topic gurl. good luck

Copies are fine! :)

Edit: Actually they are probably better as there is no guarantee of getting the originals back.

no need to be rude with others; if they advise her different than u, it does not mean they r not right; maybe they r, let her decide!! as i said before, all these opinions r different from culture to culture, country to country, region to region; whenever we give advice we need to consider the region from where that person is applying, if in that region is normal to talk abt feelings and the relationship started based only on feelings than for sure she needs to talk abt it; but if the marriage was arranged by the family then u present the facts differently; i'm sure lawyers in one corner of the world would advise differently than ones in another corner....

claudia, about ur question: u need to check ur region specific guides; if they say send originals then include a few originals and the rest photocopies; if they don't mention anything, then photocopies is fine, u want to keep the originals (they could get lost + the sentimental value ;) )

Hello Everyone,
I was trying to write a description about how my sponsor and I's relationship developed after our first meeting. (Question 9, IMM5490E, Spouse questionnaire)

Since my husband and I had been in a 2.5 years relationship before we got married. The description I wrote ended up to be almost 2 pages long in microsoft word. I had even included a kiss in it as it is how we started our relationship. If I am to add pictures and evidence, that would add up to almost 12-14 pages. (10 of the page are pictures) for one question alone.
I am just wondering Am i revealing too much detail on the question and Am I giving away too many pictures?
I just want to make sure the people from the Immigration office can see that we have a genuine relationship.

I would like to ask any of you who had the experience to share with me how you did it.
Thanks for reading and Good luck in the paper work!!

regards,
Claudia
We only used the space provided to explain our relationship and the progress, couldnt possibly write 13 years worth in it so just gave the basics. :)

Instead of sending novels we made love and posted it on you-tube.I don't know what will the officers say,but they will at least learn some things by watching it :)
Just kidding of course.People !!! You are advised to write novels.
