Hi PMM
Thanks for your assistance here.

I recieved a letter from Buffalo Office advising me to proceed with medical examination (within 60 days) and submit more documents (within 90 days) and pay RPRF. I am in USA working on my PhD. I will finish my PhD in 2 years. Here are my questions:

1) If I submitted all documents and medical and paid RPRF by end of May, when should I expect to be called for visa stamping (the letter also says that an interview is not likely to be requested)
2) Given that the landing visa is good for 1 year only, what if my visa arrives in a time when I still have more than a year to finish my PhD? What do you suggest?
3) I am going through a divorce but the case is still in court (not in the USA). I have already informed Buffalo office about the likelihood of a divorce. This is why they are now asking for divorce certificate. What if the case was not closed within 90 days? will they wait untill the case is finalized. Any way, I do not believe that it will take more than 4-5 month from now but that is more than the 90 days they offered.
4) Since I lived for 2 years in Saudi Arabia, they ask for police clearence from Saudia Arabia. My friend is telling that Saudi Arabia does not issue this kind of document. Any idea or previous experience in this?
5) If the court gave custody of my daughter to my wife, will I be able to include my daugher as dependent? (My wife is not cooperative at all in this matter). Any advise?

Thanks

About 2/3 months.

2) Given that the landing visa is good for 1 year only, what if my visa arrives in a time when I still have more than a year to finish my PhD? What do you suggest?

"land" in Canada and then return to complete your PHD, to maintain your PR you have to resid in Canada for 2 years in every five.

3) I am going through a divorce but the case is still in court (not in the USA). I have already informed Buffalo office about the likelihood of a divorce. Yes

Any way, I do not believe that it will take more than 4-5 month from now but that is more than the 90 days they offered.

Then read your earlier statement, you would have all the documents by the end of May, obviously you wont.

4) Since I lived for 2 years in Saudi Arabia, they ask for police clearence from Saudia Arabia. My friend is telling that Saudi Arabia does not issue this kind of document. Any idea or previous experience in this?

You won't be able to get one as you are no longer resident in SA

5) If the court gave custody of my daughter to my wife, will I be able to include my daugher as dependent? (My wife is not cooperative at all in this matter). Any advise?

She should have been included in the application, unless she has a medical she can no longer be sponsored. I assume you told Buffalo that you had a daughter?

Thanks

Thank you so much; I have couple more quick questions please

1) I meant that within 90 days, I will have all documents but the divorce one. The divorce document should arrive maybe 2-3 month after that date. Is that OK?

2) So what do you suggest I should do regarding the request of police clearance from Saudi Arabia? How about writting a letter to CIC?

Thanks

Probably will not issue visa until they receive divorce cert.
Tell them that you are unable to get a SA PCC since you are no longer resident there.
