I echo what other said. But is it possible for you to wait until 26 May to submit the application or can't you call or email CIC asking for clarification on this matter? An email would be better as you can have a written proof which you can attach with your application.

If you have funds like required for FSW you will be selected under FSW.
I had CEC and FSW eligibility, and as I had funds available I was selected as FSW.

No stressing. You put in your correct dates, it qualified you for CEC. If you get an ITA tonight, for instance, call CIC on Monday to explain. But really, by the time your 60 days to apply are up, you WILL have your year, so no stress on many levels.

Always tell the truth on these things. Don't start second-guessing CIC and trying to manipulate stuff to come out right. There are humans behind the system, and if you put in verifiable dates, you won't have a problem in the end.

Actually, I think this is true. I also have the funds, qualified for both, and got FSW. No one wants FSW because of all the paperwork and the financial requirement, so if you are qualified for both, you're more likely to get FSW, I'm pretty sure.

Then it would be a good practice to manipulate the profile to be not qualified for FWS. Is it what you're suggesting?

Hi All,

i started working on 26th May 2014 so when i am creating my profile now its giving me points for 1 year canadian experience. I dont want it as i also qualify for FSW with 438 points. So should i lie to the system that i started working in June 2014?? or if i recieved an ITA under CEC i should reject it?? or should i just continue if i get an ITA and write an explaining letter to CIC along with the docs??

Hi Dukhi,

I would advise you to not submit your profile just yet. Even though the system is saying you are qualified a VO will still assess your eligibility based on the 1560 hours and 12 months of full time work experience. I believe the burden is on you to make sure that you are qualified when you get an ITA. You do not want to risk the chance of getting rejected for your PR because you are missing a few weeks of work experience. Wait until your 1 year is complete. That way you are rest assured that your application will not be denied.

Play it safe. That's my two cents! :D

Some say that you can safely leave that work experience out of your EE profile. Then you simply won't get points for it. When applying for PR though, you should mention it. I would not tinker with the dates though.

Feels like xpress entry is meesing everyones head and people who already applied under 1 program wants to apply under more program with same category.

It is okey to apply under more than 1 diff program but not under same category. Seems like piling your own plate :-X

so confusing :(...leave it as it is or just remove my profile for now......

I think its better to apply under FSW if you are at 438 with it. Why even bother for Canadian Experience then (just state its less than a year).EE points came down to 453 and then bumped up again. So according to me whatever way you get ITA fast should be your choice and not to wait for extra points for experience class.

Remove it for now. Put it back up when your 1 year is complete. Better safe than sorry.

No! I'm saying don't manipulate! I got an FSW invitation on March 27 when I was eligible for both FSW and CEC. I didn't decline it, and after my medical examination the first week of May I'll have all the paperwork done and uploaded. It's considerable work but I want to be a PR, and took the first chance I was given.

How will i state its less than year? I am entering the dates correctly and its making me eligible for cec wrongly as it only count months

Can i just remove this work experience?? As ill still be eligible for fsw with 438 points?

proceed as is.
No need to change anything, only if you get ITA wait couple of weeks and when you have 1 year get reference letter for your job. Even if you get ITA now you will submit it in june and thats it.
