Hi guys,

Recently i got an ITA with 486 points under fsw. But i have one confusion,

I worked for a canadian employer from March 2014 to now. The company had sent me to US for 2 months training fully paid. So i have all the T4, pay stubs, company letter that says i have been working for the company for one year.

In EE i have entered my companies Canada address as i was working for them. So i got 1 year canada experience points. But now i am confused, whether i should be getting canadian experience points or not? Should i reject or do you think it will be fine as i havent lied/ mis represented any thing?

If it was through Canadian employer that you were in US, I would assume it is still part of your Canadian job, so should count towards Canadian experience. I think you should be fine.

If you can show that you were an employee of Canadian company XXXXX at the time you were in US for training on behalf of that company, I dont think you need to worry about this. Because your US stay was part of your job. Yes. just stick with the Canadian address in EE profile.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
You'll be fine - have a read of this CIC pronouncement http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/refuse.asp

There are two profiles - EE profile and your e-APR. If for example you screwed up an address in your EE profile, you can correct it in your e-APR and this is what is ultimately used by the Visa Officer to corroborate your claims.

The main thing to look out for is that your ITA points and e-APR points are the same, if they are not you need to ensure you are still above the MEC otherwise you should decline your ITA.

Exactly how many are you short of 52 weeks if you exclude 8 weeks of US stay??

But as before, should i write my employers canada address in ee form or Because they had sent me to US for training i should write the address of that place?? But since i dont have a work permit for US i was there on work visa i doubt it and secondly My employers in Canada have given me t4 slips, pay stubs, employment letter all indicating i was working for them in that time....

Secondly will the e-apr give me my crs points total immediately like ee??

Devil's advocate...
If you are saying that you have "worked" in US for 2 months but on B1 visa...
You probably need to exercise caution in getting your employer reference letters worded correctly since you have technically violated the condition of B1 visa which is meant for only business visits, conferences etc by "working" in the US for those 2 months.

CIC may ask.. whats the guarantee that you won't violate their rules...

I don't know what level of details CIC would go into in reviewing the application..and again.. a lot is given to the discretion of the assessing officer.

Help any one
They do not consider the 2 months as experience gained IN CANADA.
I spoke to them and they kept me on hold for a long time and discussed and confirmed.
I was in the same situation but now I meet 52 weeks. So.. I am good...

were you fully paid by the canadian employer? I dont want to lie or misrepresent anything...so what country and street address should i put in for those 2 months? US one? I doubt it coz i was on a b1 visa so i cannot work for any US employee....
