On March 10 2017 I received letter saying my sponsorship has been approved and my parents file is transferred to Ottawa. Since then I have not received any additional information. I tried to link the file to the online account many many times, still no luck. What are other people's experience on this? How long did you wait before you received updates from Ottawa. is there a particular way to successfully like the account? Thank you in advance.

Hi All,

I have sponsored 3 persons (mom, dad and brother) . I have asked to pay for Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF).
as I applied for 3 persons therefore I have to pay for 3 quantity like 490$ * 3 = 1470$ right? please let me know if i am correct or not.

I already paid for one and now will pay for remaining 2 . then will send the proof to CIC .Is it ok that I didn't pay for 3 person together( instead pay for one first then for two persons)? please let me know. Thanks

I am not able to create account online. After creating my account, I tried to find my application entering all the information like application number ,names and more. But it didn't find my application even though whatever I put was correct. does any one have any ideas how to resolve this issue? Thanks

FYI:

Right of permanent residence fee 490

For most permanent residence applications, you need to pay the right of permanent residence fee (RPRF) when your application is approved. You will have to pay it before you can become a permanent resident.

You can pay the RPRF at the same time as your application fees to avoid delays. If we approve your application before you pay it, we will contact you to explain how.

We will refund the RPRF if you withdraw your application or we refuse it. The RPRF is the only fee that we can refund after we start processing your application.

The RPRF does not apply to:
•the dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor
•sponsorship applications for adopted children
•sponsorship applications for an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild or
•protected persons, including applicants eligible on humanitarian and compassionate grounds and convention refugees.

Hi thanks for information. My brother is dependent so I guess i don't have to pay for him. I have to pay only for my mom and dad (490 * 2= 980$ ) right?

Hello All -

Just providing an update on my PGP case - haven't ever posted here - just been reading quietly - my app for both my parents was submitted Jan 5, 2016 - got my SA in March was told it was sent to the High Commission of my parents home country - Kingston Jamaica - then yesterday got their medical request, Police checks and Right of landing fee request.

Things have been moving fairly quickly since the SA last month. All the best to those waiting.

***Now just waiting on my husbands SA (which is another thread I know) -he got his work permit already :)
