Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

I have applied for SuperVisa of my wife from India om March 10 and I am yet to receive reply. My nephew has applied for Study permit on March01.He is awaiting reply. Processing time is 14 days for visitor visa and THREE weeks for study permit. Although this matter is out of subject for this FORUM but members can share their concerns regarding other type of Canadian Visas also. My daughter's Credit Card is charged on March 17 but no AOR and no ECas activation.

I think IRCC right now is activating ECAS for applicants whose CC was charged on 15th March...this is just a high level guess based on last input available in this forum...AOR comes after that...so i think you have to wait as your daughter's CC was charged on 17th...

Any news on AOR or ECAS activated for CC charged between 01 March to 10 March?

my CC charged on 7 March but no news after that ... anyone in the same boat?

I think IRCC right now is activating ECAS for applicants whose CC was charged on 15th March...this is just a high level guess based on last input available in this forum...AOR comes after that...so i think you have to wait as your daughter's CC was charged on 17th...

As your mother is here on Super Visa please guide me about Super Visa and what would be my status after 18 April 2016 (please also refer to my earlier post.)

As far as I know you can only extend your visa here and cannot apply within Canada for temporary visa (including super visa). Extending visa sometimes take time but it is 99% success you get extension so don't worry. Also they sometimes extend for 2 years as they know people here stay upto 2 years on super visa so its easy to give that anyways but depends on case to case basis and also passport validity.

what does your visitor visa validity?? are you considering visa date stamped on your passport or port of entry date? bcoz they consider your port of entry date and your visa will be valid from that date for 6 months for TRV. Also if you have applied for extension then you get 1 more month before you here from visa office so even though your visa will be expired you can still stay upto 1 month before you get anything back from them. Don't worry you are good don't stress out. Anything else we are all here to help.

Did you apply for extension of your current stay...based on your TRV? If not, I think you should apply for extension immediately as extension of TRV is different from Super Visa applicaiton...others can confirm if my assumption is wrong.

Second option is...if you have US visa...and if you stay relatively close to US border...go to US and cross border before 18th April and come back...during POE, ask them for another 6 months extension...and they provide the same most of the time...I think it should not be an issue...This is possible only if you have a US B1/B2 visa...for you to go to USA and then return. I know my friends who have done this in the past.

My CC got charged on 10th March and ECAS activated last week 6th April. I didn't get any email, I just logged in with my UCI# which was same when I got my citizenship, & ECAS application received 4th Jan. next step ?

Yes! Friend of mine (he is from PGP 2014 batch) got an approval to sponsor his mother yesterday too!

Good news!! asking how does she know the case went to Ottawa? Does it show on E-CASE ? Also, is it because her case has only one person ? thx !!
