UPS? Anyone who knows the exact time UPS delivered their packages. I sent special delivery and paid extra money for 8.00 AM delivery, but no luck since UPS screwed it up.

Also, I am on today's torontostar article about how people pay more money to be in the front of the line.

Also, must say, we are bringing our parents not because of free healthcare. Just because we want to spend the precious time with them in their golden age. Our parents live in a country does not have to pay a penny to health care, and it's better than canada's. Current wait time to see a specialist doctor is one and half years.

Lets stick to the topic

Whew!!!

All opinions taken, printed and put in an envelope and will be delivered to Cic. Hope it will make the cut!(btw, different category)

Now back to business folks! Any charges on cc? :)

Not yet, ! this is the third year we tried, and we are both pretty upset.

@Rossey

BTW, I've just tried to create a new entry in the spreadsheet and wasn't able to do that. Is it just me or there is something wrong with the spreadsheet?

That is just not good... What time did your application reach. The cap has increased to 10,000, so take heart. All the best, hope things work out for you this year.

I think the problem is that the website still says :

The first 5,000 complete applications received will be placed in the inventory queue.

Which may mean that for the moment they will only charge the cc of 5000 applicants. I do hope they will inform the remaining 5000 people that their applications have met the increased cap even if they don't charge their credit cards.

If they don't notify people how are you supposed to know if you made it.

According to spreadsheet only few credit cards have been charged on Jan 13. It seems to me there is a kind of break in CIC's work today.
Thank u Luda
it's my second year ,i hope everything will be ok.

The information on the CIC web site is quite clear. The cap hasn't been increased to 10,000 yet. It's still 5,000. However CIC knows that the Liberal government has announced plans to increase the cap to 10,000 - so they are retaining 10,000 application in preparation for the expected cap increase. I would expect that only the 5,000 will be charged now. They will charge the rest once the cap has been officially increased.

They wouldnt know if the application is complete without processing the payment so I think they will charge the credit card but wont put the 5000 applications in their "processing queue" until the cap is finalized. I dont see government backing off from their promise at this point given that they have already put the info on the web. Its just matter of time.

Any idea on how many days did CIC take in 2015 to charge 5000 applications? And how many CC they charged per day averagely?

Page 144...by "rajparvez87"...hope this helps.

Judging from 2015 data, they started charging CCs on 8th and were mostly done by 30th i.e. 17 working days. That averages to about 300 apps/day given that they havent increased/decreased resources.
