I am sure you would get the 2nd AOR before their reply on your query...

As i got my 2nd AOR on 21 June but didnt receive any response to my query sent on 24th May.

Hi All,

I've got an e-mail from Colombo today and could not really make out what it really means. Me and my spouse's passports are valid and not about to expire anytime soon (more than one year's validity is there). But still they are asking to obtain new passports and send them hard copy of biopages. Has anyone else received any similar request? Please suggest as I'm very confused...

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following:

- Please obtain new passports for you and your spouse and send us copies of bio pages.

The documents we have requested should be provided to us (Colombo office) within 30 days from the date of this letter / e-mail. We require hard copies but not soft copies. No further requests will be made. If we do not receive the information within the time indicated, we will proceed to assess the application based on the information on file which may result in refusal.

Nothing yet, buddy. Its been almost 1 month and a week since my medicals were updated on e-cas. I am still waiting for PPR, hope to see it soon for myself and others in this forum.

Dear Nikvin,
Is your passport Bio page Hand written ? Then they would request for Machine readable probably?
Any way this is my guess.

Thanks for your prompt response. Both me and my spouse's passports are handwritten but they hold validity of more than 1 year.

Get your passports renewed through tatkal service .
They shall take maximum one week to issue them.

Further deposit the acknoledgement of renewal of passports to colombo VO by mail .

React instantly .

God shall surely help you .

…confirming receipt of documents and bank drafts/transfers: In order to best use our resources, we will not confirm whether we have received your documents.

…an application in process: If you already have an application at our office, we will answer your question only if our normal processing time has been exceeded or if there is a problem. Otherwise, you should assume that your file is proceeding normally. Processing time starts when your complete application has been received in our office and ends on the day the final decision (i.e. approval/refusal) leaves our office.

In email received from Colombo, the mailing address is mentioned as
Canadian High Commission - Immigration Section
33A Fifth Lane, Kollupitiya, Colombo 3,
Sri Lanka

In this forum I read the mailing address as:
colombo address
Canadian High Commission - Immigration Section
33 A, Fifth Lane, Colpetty, Colombo 3.
Sri Lanka

Which on eis correct? I aooreciate your reply

Colpetty and Kollupitiya belong to same place.
It is actually a single place with two differenent names same as MADRAS as CHENNAI.

You can use anyone but I used Colpetty in my mailing address.
