Okay lang kung hindi kaya. Just bring your license with you, kasi it will reduce 9 months to get your full driver's license. Okay ang 2 years, although madali lang kumuha ng car dito.

In my case, one year ang timeline ko eh.

OT: Don't lose hope. Hindi lang ikaw ang dumaan dyan - imagine others before you. One of the realities in coming to Canada is that you will "reboot" your career and your life. It is a new way of thinking - much much different from where what we have become accustomed prior to moving. Learn to lower expectations ika nga. Internally we know what we are worth and what skills we have compared to what the others around you - in manner of problem-solving, in manner of efficiency, in manner of multi-tasking. Unfortunately, we are the ones coming into "their" domain, so we adapt....

Hi,

First thing, make sure you have the correct email and checked your spam folders regularly in your email application. There have been times when the AoR was received and sent to the spam folder of the applications.

Now if you are sure nothing has been sent, then note - it has been 8-10 weeks since that and you CAN query directly your application. In your case, you can now ask directly, as you fulfill their criteria for sending an inquiry to CIO-Sydney.

So you did receive a response from the CIO office? Automatic email. yes is a very common first response - this is normally a method to ward of email spammers or repeated requests. Nonetheless, if you got a response, then send back a reply with the information requested. The information requested of you is to make sure that the correct file information is being retrieved. Again, send in your proof of delivery as it shows and gives credence to when the application was submitted.

Note you may not get a desired reply immediately - federal offices are so notorious of this - so you will have to wait a bit after sending this inquiry, before sending a new one if nothing happens.

Hello Sir, thanks for the reply. Is it ok that my file no. from MPNP is the one I put to the e-mail? I have UCI no. when they returned my application but I think it is not advisable to use that considering that my documents were sent back to me.

Heto, nag-aaral. Tomorrow is my knowledge test (written test), although mahina talaga memory ko. Not sure if mapapasa ko. Because I have been practicing on the online quizzes and I am not happy with my result.

Anyway, sabi nga ng iba no need. But actually the authentication is not for the driving, it is for the insurance. If you have it authenticated, you will be able to save some money on insurance because you have proof of years (even months) of no accidents.

CONGRATS nga pala to those who got their visas. Lot's of good news this week.

Hello tabs179, just want to about the authentication. Does it show on how long have you been driving? Or should I request this with LTO here in Manila?

depends ata sa province, dito sa saskatchewan just present your drivers license para void na class, schedule ka kaagad ng written test.
ichecheck lang nila sa drivers license mo kung gaano kna katagal nagdidrive, if bago or wala pang 1 year dyan ka irerequire kumuha ng class.

Ah okay, thanks kelotz! Mahaba-haba pala process ko kasi student driver lang ako dito sa pinas for the longest time. Kumuha ako ng driver's license nitong February lang e.

Hindi naman. Summer pa lang so okay lang mag commute. It's also not to stressful as compared sa Pinas na sobra sobra na ang traffic, napakasikip pa.

Winter... well that's another story, tama ka. But driving in winter conditions will also be another story...

Hi to all,

Question lang po, ung application ko narecieved na ng CIO nung March 29,2014 and nakareceived din ako ng email nakastate dun ung UCI number nung April 29. Yung status sa e-cas same pa din "We received your application for permanent residence on March 29, 2014". As of now wala pa din changes sa status ng application ko and 11 weeks na siya nung nareceived nila. Pwede ko ba silang email regarding sa status ng application ko? If so, anu po email address nila
