Guys, PPV arrived today without any changes on my ECAS to DM.

So happy, but the expiration of my visa is 8 May 2014, why is that? I thought it is based on the medicals? Should I get in touch with the embassy regarding this?

Congrats tabs! So happy for you. Good luck on your landing!

Guys, I just got a call from CEM.

So, this is their answer to my email. They based my visa on the expiry date of my 'old passport'. And therefore, the information on my visa and COPR is incorrect. They asked me to come personally at the Embassy on Monday, early morning to rectify the situation.

I had to bring my old passport with me, my new passport and 2 ID pics again. Ahhh, problem solved. But this has not been a very smooth process for me.

This has happened to me in UK where I also had to return my passport because they gave me 3 years visa instead of 2 years, and I had to return it (although I didn't really want to, LoL) to have it rectified. What are the odds, eh? :o :o :o

Hi Everyone,

happy to have found this forum :)

I hope someone can help me with this query. How many days does it usually take for CIO to receive an application? Ours was sent last January 28.

Thanks so much!

Approximately 35 days (+/- 5 days). You will get yours soon. Check your spam.

Hahahaha - its is all settled in the end. It does not hurt to ask :).

Victory is sweeter after all obstacles have been hurdled.

Be business-like when you come into the embassy, and when you come into the security counter, state the business - this is not an inquiry, although you have no appointment, you have been asked to come in because of an error (emphasize this) on CEM's part, not on your side. You should not be placed into the longer queue of those seeking an appointment with an officer.

All the best and good luck on the next steps. Happy Landing soon.
