guys ask ko lang po opinion ninyo. PPR na po kasi ako last week 6 feb 2014, kaya lang nag renew po ako ng passport last month sa phil embassy, unfortunately ang tentative release ay feb 27, 2014. pede ko po ba i-send nalang muna yung old passport ko? salamat po sa mga sasagot.

You can ask for an extension - if you think kakapusin ka. Send word to CEM, tell them the details, and ask for a few days extension to submit the new PPs.

Hahahaha - its is all settled in the end. It does not hurt to ask .

Victory is sweeter after all obstacles have been hurdled.

Be business-like when you come into the embassy, and when you come into the security counter, state the business - this is not an inquiry, although you have no appointment, you have been asked to come in because of an error (emphasize this) on CEM's part, not on your side. You should not be placed into the longer queue of those seeking an appointment with an officer.

Since landing in Winnipeg last Feb.6, so far I have gotten our SINs, health cards, opened bank accounts, enrolled my 2 daughters in school, bought a 2nd-hand Dodge caravan. Next week, will be job-hunting! ;D ;D ;D

Guys, PPV arrived today without any changes on my ECAS to DM.

So happy, but the expiration of my visa is 8 May 2014, why is that? I thought it is based on the medicals? Should I get in touch with the embassy regarding this?

Yeah, I emailed them and they will resolve the matter, apparently they made an error and based the validity of the visa on my old passport and not on my new passport. Since all information is recorded in my old passport, even the COPR information was my previous passport, it is necessary to rectify the issue. So, I have an appointment on Monday to have it rectified.

These things always happen to me, final stages na meron pang problema, nasanay na ako hehehe

Sa Winnipeg kami...nakikitira muna sa sis-in-law while looking for a small house to rent (or rent-to-own). Sa Bank of Montreal ako nag-open ng bank account; debit cards muna ibinigay then the credit cards will follow after a week. Yung mga decent 2nd-hand cars ranges from 5k to 12k. Binili ko directly from the owner kaya medyo mura (6.2k), 90k kms na itinakbo nung kotse pero in tip-top condition. Lady teacher yung owner...bago pa yung winter tires at ibinigay din sa akin yung regular tires. Valid pa rin yung "safety certificate" until October. In short...good buy! ;D ;D ;D

Likely - next week you will have your PPs and PRVs. Your CoPRs and visa may be in queue for printing as we speak.
Early present but a very welcome one!

Yours is one of the faster ones considering the request for transfer of VO (ADVO --> CEM).

Hopeful all others will receive their PRVs in the coming weeks - traditionally, CIC does work some wonders end of the year, early January.

Sana bilisan din ng SLEC. In process pa daw nila ang final medical report ng anak ko pero mabuti na lang at di na namin need bumalik for additional tests. Follow up ulit ako next week kung mafo-forward na nila.

Thanks. Yes, bago pero na-base sa old passport ko yung visa. Kaya ang nilagay din sa COPR is my old passport info. Nilagay ko na sa cover letter na bago passport ko, nagkamali pa rin. LoL So, will go there on Monday to have it corrected.
