PM sent. In the interest of disclosure here is the gist of my response.

To answer your question - you do not have to do anything to have your visa (given by virtue of OWP) voided.

Technically now, you have a valid visa (due to your OWP), and upon return of your PPs, you will have a PR visa. Likely they (CEM) will stamp/or mark the OWP visa void if it has not been used as this is now superseded by the PR visa. Also, status accorded by OWP (temporary residence) is superseded by Permanent Residence status - so it follows that all temp residence permits/visas are expected to be invalidated as soon as PR status is activated upon Landing.

Hello to all :) Would like to ask if anyone encountered ecas displaying your records are not found. I've been using it to check my status for almost seven months and using the same credentials it is now showing that my credentials are not found. Note that I've not ticked on the box that disables checking online. Was wondering if anyone encountered this before. We just recently received PPR and submitted our passports on Nov 18. Just worried why I can't check status at this stage. :(

Any comments/suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Thanks kelotz. I tried the suggested. Even tried switching from google chrome to internet explorer and even tried on my mobile device taking care to specify the correct date format. I also tried using UCI, file number and application number and all options are not working. All showing that my file was not found in ECAS. In chrome and IOS there is no option to get the date format wrong as you are constrained with input as it is a date selector interface. Although I did notice that on the latest ECAS UI the help displays the valid format as yyyy-mm-dd. Is there any other alternative? Do I just send CIC an enquiry on this?

By the way, on an old cached page on my IOS safari(last weeks successful enquiry) I did a refresh and I got a web page exception(jsp null pointer exception). Where did my data go? Last week I was able to successfully check status. Did anyone encounter not being able to access ECAS after PPR? Any information much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i don't think so that the problem is in the website.
you can send a case inquiry in this matter since i didn't encounter this problem before.

Sa CEM po pero I suggest if you're going to make payment sa CEM, just use PHP para hindi masyadong matagal ma-encash. Based on the experience of another forum member, nagbayad sya in CAD sa CEM it took a month for the payment to be credited.

CAD payments for RPRF is suggested only if you're going to pay it along with your processing fee when you initially send your application to CIC.

Good luck and God bless. :)

For those getting their CoPRs/PRVs
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
FYI - if you are confused on the watermark on the CoPR showing "Not Valid for Travel"...

There is a difference between the CoPR and the PR visa -

CoPR - this is a status document - shows/identifies the holder as having been granted status as a permanent resident of Canada; status will take effect after completion of Landing. This is not a travel document - you cannot use this alone to enter/travel into Canada . Especially since we (PH nationals) are not visa-exempt travelling into Canada. This is why it is water-marked as it is not a Travel/Entry Document

PR Visa - immigrant visa and is a travel/entry document - allows you to travel into/enter Canada. A Visa is generally required for non-visa exempt nationals to gain entry into Canada. Your PR visa is an immigrant visa, identifying the holder as entering Canada as an immigrant and will need additional processing (i.e. Landing).

To travel into Canada, you need your PR Visa to gain entry into the country; to activate your PR status, you need to present your CoPR at the PoE.

Thanks. I sent out a case enquiry. Sana ok pa din PPR. Now I have no way of knowing when there is an update on status. Last week it's still in process.
