Hi Ragluf,

Is there a possibility that VO's are issuing MR's based on the PNP nomination date (i.e. they are observing a certain processing time period from nomination to eventual issuance of PR)?

I have checked again my AOR-CIO and it states "any future correspondence should be sent to the visa office AS INDICATED ON YOUR APPLICATION" therefore, malamang na nasa Manila VO. Haaaaaay, nakakaaning talaga yung hintayan for every stage. ;D ;D ;D It's been 42 days from AOR, wala pa ring MR from VO. Alam ko rin naman sagot sa tanong ko... ANTAY-ANTAY lang...pero kailangang i-post pa rin para makabawas-bawas ng ANING! ;D

D you still remember before we filed our application to Nova Scotia? They give us red sticker with the word "PRIORITY", I thought all of us is in priority...at on first come first serve basis..hehehe tanong lang po.

Bakit ganon po almost 2 months na ako ntay from medical submitted to CEM until now "APLICATION RECIEVED ON DECEMBER 12, 2012" pa din ang ECAS ko...NAIIYAK NA TALAGA AKO....WAAAHHH

Would you mind updating your timeline in your profile at the left so I can better ascertain your processing time?

Yes it is quite a test of patience to wait. And one of the purposes of this thread is to give others a venue to vent their frustration.

But think of this from the group where I came from - Dec 2011/Jan 2012 - in that thread, there are still many of those who have complied with medical exams, have medicals expired, have been requested to repeat their medical exams, and until now still are waiting with no change in eCAS. Some of them are quite surprised and often comment compared to their VOs, CEM is faster. Others are contemplating filing a suit. Others are calling up their MPs.

Be positive in the fact that you have complied and have submitted everything that was requested of you, and that nothing is pending. This wait, unfortunately, is typical for most applicants, and status updates are different for each applicant.

/all the best...

We don't know if CIC does have a criteria for issuing MRs. The internal workings of CIC is still a mystery, sad to say. :(:(
We do know the provincial nomination process is entirely separate from the federal application process.

Observations based on GCMS notes, is that MR is issued with/or immediately after AOR (the AOR from the VO signifying file has been created) - specifically as soon as your File has been transferred and opened at the assigned VO. I looked at several spreadsheets before and noticed that the acknowledgement from the CIO is sometimes mis-identified as the AOR. Perhaps this is due to recently, CIO-NS has been processing applications also (there are plans of CIO-NS becoming a Case Processing Center) so I have seen some threads where in they reported their AOR was from Sydney. In any case, MR/Request for additional docs is usually the next step after AOR (aka AOR-VO). Depending on your VO, there will be some time duration between acceptance of your application and the transfer of your file to the VO that will process your application.

I looked at my GCMS notes for an example and see here for the file creation and transfer to CEM. It took 2 weeks from the date the file was initially created at CIO (immediately after they acknowledged the application is complete) to transfer to CEM. And then 2 weeks for CEM to complete registry and file creation. The file at CEM was marked Open 1 week later. That was the week I received the AOR-VO and the additional docs request. I noted also, that an MR had been sent also at that week - but I received the physical MR form 2 weeks later via post mail (it had to be sent back to Canada).

And again, you have to take note of the effects of the FSO walk-out/strike on the processing of applications. If there are decisions to be made by officers, then these will likely result in delays.

/hope this helps....

Pekto musta na status mo.....marami na nauuna sa atin...naiiyak na ako...ecas status ko " application recieved pa din" hangang ngayon....its almost 2 months na akong application recieved from the time na submit ang medical ko sa CEM last April 17, 2013...Do i need to make some follow up na?

Seguro it has something to do with the number of kids and age of the kids...kasi age ng mga anak ko is...20 my eldest,, 18, 16 at 12 yrs old..Ano ba ito..if you always look at the forum lalo ka lang naiinip...

wala bang progress for medical results have been received sa status mo?
yung sa akin kasi since January pa Application received. then May 5 nagkaron additional line but status did not change...

nakakaiyak ng talaga. sa office nga they already formed a team. nag training na sila for possible turnover ko. mabuti na lang i have been open to everybody since the time nag transfer ako until dun sa exam ng ielts last year and each progress in the application. mabuti na lang yung boss ko open minded sa ganitong situation. everthing falls in proper places....pero hindi ang ppr sa ngayon.

wag ka na maiyak...ako din wag na. imagine those who had their chances for another visa na hindi naman fit for their purpose...mas nakakaiyak yun. once dumating na ppr...ini-imagine ko na lang....the red carpet will roll...and the sea will open up...for the shores of canada...welcoming us...

yun lang baka iceberg yung madaanan natin...smile...each day is a new day...kahit inip na inip na din ako...

gud day s lhat ng nagaantay at naiinip s sobra tgal ng pag usad ng papel kgaya ko...:) anu updates today???post agad pg my pg bbgo s ecas or mkTanggap ng khit ani galing s cem...pampabuhay ng loob cheers ;D

Same here... its been 13 months na akong naghihintay ng response from visa office for MR. Yun nga lang kasi sa Singapore ang visa office ko dahil dito ako nagtatrabaho. Ang processing time ng SGVO ay 24 months na ngayon samantalang dyan sa Pinas 11 months lang. Kainis... 11 months to go... haiz. Waiting really kills me. :'(
