I purchased my clothes from baguio. Ukay ukay style. Hehe they do have winter clothes there. All you need to do is have patience in searching for the good quality clothes. ^^

Hehe nice talaga magshopping sa Ukay Ukay. I just hope it didn't carry too much weight for your luggage. :)

Nice! May mean you have completed all checks including medical, so this stage may be completed now. Onward to the next step... ;D ;D ;D

Thank you so much ragluf. Do you think at this stage they may ask for more documents? Just curious. :)

Help...just want to ask, is it okay to pay the RFRF 1st even f ur not done w/ the Medical? is it safe to use LBC instead of Fedex or DHL in sending draft to VO? tnx.....

Hi,

IMHO - there has been some mixed results with this. I have been reading up on some recent posts in other threads wherein there was success in getting their applications moving (the operative term is moving) with CPP-O after it has been stalled for a bit by paying RPRF even when not instructed to do so. Some others, well, did online payment but have been instructed that they need to send the payment to the VO not just the receipt. No pattern still is emerging that best shows the effects of proactively paying RPRF.

My take, is when your application is still progressing, you may want to stick to the "regular" process - give it some time, meaning you wait for instructions from the VO on the next steps and keep the instructions on RPRF as per the VO website. Should you be in a standstill, then you use the methods to trigger movement on your application (i.e. pay RPRF etc.)

It will happen Ms. Tweety05 - this process does indeed test and take a lot out of us applicants. It does come when unexpected :)

Mixed bag of emotions, coming in cycles, from the uncertainty of complying to all requirements before sending to CIO, anxiety in waiting for the AOR, elation in getting one, then another cycle again, complying to the the next set of instructions, then anxiety in waiting for feedback, the compulsive behaviour in checking for eCAS updates....

I take it with a grin that this process is akin to a fraternity initiation..... :):):) - only much longer....

In the meantime, let's entertain ourselves by watching what unfolds on "Halalan 2013"....

Not too much but some of the clothes are just too bulky and didnt fit into my luggage. Thats why i considered balikbayan bax.hehe

Most likely, next is PPR and Appendix A. Unless they see something which needs to be explained based on the security checks, but historically, not a lot of incidents wherein they ask for more documents. Never too be sure about CEM. Sometimes they ask again for docs previously submitted, and all you have to do is remind them you have already submitted these.

This is to me, the longest time for waiting - from medicals - up to PPR. At this stage, well, keep on being busy to take your mind off the anxiety of waiting.

@mystic,

At this time - you will not need too much cold weather clothing. If you have to invest in one - go for a 3N1 (3 in 1) multi-layer clothing/jacket - one with a waterproof/water-repellant/wind-proof outer shell (nylon/polyester) and an inner layer detachable, of fleece or tight spun breathable material. Some of these are lightweight and can be tightly packed thus saving on space. Being detachable also lends to packing them tighter.

My wife brought along lots of leggings/tights - for layering- plus scarves. But we came here in the dead of winter (December) so we needed the cold-weather clothing. If you come in during the summer, you don't need a lot cold-weather gear and can then purchase if needed here.
