Quick question.... Do I need to reply on the PPR email notification? I saw a sample of PPR email from other applicant and is says that they are requested to reply blank on the email..... I rechecked my PPR email and it doesnt say that I need to reply..

Thanks in advance!!!!

Hi,

If you are not required to do so in your email or in the body of the PPR letter then no need.

There is no harm in replying back - and saying this is to confirm receipt of PPR email from them on the date of the email (:) ) - added peace of mind :). We all know we want to be very careful at this point and want to make sure we cover all bases/possibilities....

/all the best....

Hi - first congratulations - your application seems to be proceeding nicely. When you do have a chance, mind if you can kindly post your timeline - makes it better to answer queries with respect to your application :)

My question is if you received a RPRF does it mean that you are already approved or shall I say 100% to have a visa? And is the ecas can be relied upon for the outcome of your application.

Getting RPRF is not a sure indicator of visa issuance. If you search this forum, there are some members who have been asked payment of RPRF yet was included in their MR/IME or additional docs request (PCC etc.). This would show that admissibility/criminality/medical checks are on-going, and this is still mid-process, yet RPRF was requested early. A lot of things can still affect the application and determination by the VO of issuance of the visa. A much more clearer indicator is the PPR.

As to eCAS - due to the inconsistency with the updates, it has been found by the long-time members of this forum not too accurate in determining the true state of your application. Can't rely on eCAS alone, this is being supplemented by requesting for GCMS notes via Access to Information and Privacy Act. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/
However, GCMS is not readily available for those applicants without sponsors/relatives in Canada. Quite unfortunate, so for those in the PH, eCAS plus the correspondence with CEM is the only way an applicant can "best guess" where his/her application is now.

And one thing more...although I have a lot of experience as a System Analyst (w/c they considered me to be a Pilot reduction Ontario Nominee) at age 47 am I still have a big chance for this.

You do have chances, but IMHO, set your expectations lower. Not a lot of technology related companies here, plus you face competition from others with the same base as you have. Most often, experience gained outside of Canada counts for virtually nothing here - not an advantage, unless it comes from a Canadian company or your education is from an accredited institution. Sad fact, but true. Plus side - age is not a factor in the workplace, minus - well all your hard-earned experience does not count for anything unless you already have an arranged job here. So have your educational credentials accredited before you come into the country, your PN programmes already have links where you can have credentials checked.

/all the best.....
