Hi Mayonnaise,

I did not also include RPRF payment in the package to NS-CIO. Same reason - was not on the new checklist. I made a call to CIC call centre here in Canada before sending the package, what they advised me was to send in the package with just the PF and I will be advised in succeeding messages when to provide the payment. The instructions to provide the payment for the RPRF came with the MR and the additional documents I need to submit.

/hope this helps...
Hi. does anyone know how much is the landing fee? I know RPRF is $490. Thanks

thanks delsa12! i asked coz my mailing add is different from my residence address. company address ng husband ko ang ginawa kong mailing add kc madalas walang tao sa house. but right now, since it's vacation time, my children are always in the house. i'm actually considering of changing my mailing add to our residence na. kaya ko naman naisip baguhin kc di naman ako kilala ng receptionist sa company ng husband ko kaya baka hindi nila i-receive yung docs. hmmm. any inputs? tnx!!

1. did you send your application to Manila or to Buffalo? and
2. What other documents did they ask for?

I sent mine to manila. I received my medical request already, but i didnt see an intruction to pay it (RPRF) and they never asked me fr addntl documents. ???
Hi Mayonnaise,

I sent my application to NS-CIO but I specified Buffalo as the VO (considering I am in Canada on WP) and as advised by CIC CC. AOR-CIO was sent (email) then another AOR (email) from CEM a few weeks after the AOR-CIO. I was surprised that my file was transferred from CIO to CEM - even if I specified that I am in Canada and that Buffalo VO is the nearest.
The emailed AOR from CEM included another letter with instructions for RPRF, updated police clearances and other docs.

A few weeks later, a parcel arrived via snail mail - included are the AOR-CEM, the emailed added instructions for RPRF and add'l docs, and the MR.

It was explained to me I needed to fill in some details that were identified as gaps in my personal history - hence the additional docs and forms I needed to fill in. If you had no gaps in your personal history - I do not think you will be asked for this.

Also - updated police certificates were required - unfortunately, the NBI certificate had lapsed by the time CEM got the application, so understandable they would request new ones. I expected that - at that time I had to make a decision in sending an incomplete application (no NBI) and expect a rejection from the CIO immediately or sending in what I have (NBI due to expire in Feb 2012) and hope that I will be asked to resubmit updated ones when the application is with the VO.

/hope this helps...

ok since you have already declared the company address as your mailing address it says in the website that if there are case specific enquiries or change of personal details such as address, pregnancy let them know immediately so that it wont delay the processing of your application. Please validate if this apply in your case.

Personal information: If you are sending information regarding changes in personal circumstances (address, employer, civil status, birth, death, etc.) or other requested information related to your application, your message will be relayed to the appropriate officer for action. Your file will be updated but we will not necessarily respond to your email.

Hope this helps. Best regards...

Thank you. :)

Someone said that Manila might ask for the RPRF when they request for my passport.

I guess mine is a different case altogether. Nova Scotia and Manila sent me my AOR via email, i then received my medical request thru the mail (No addtnl documents nor RPRF was requested). I passed my Canadian police clearance too but they didnt ask me for an updated one, i hope the one that ive passed is enough because i dont wanna pay again for having my finger prints done.
