Congrats to all!!!

hi! Congrats to those who have their updates. by the way, we just want to inform you that we had our medicals yesterday here in Singapore and today we got our PPR. Super nagulat kami ng husband ko. Thank you so much Lord Jesus! Godbless us all!

By the way, the embassy is asking for our additional documents to be sent together with our passports. My concern is, I just had my passport renewed last month. and pick up date is this November 24 which is 5 days beyond the deadline that the embassy of canada here in Singapore has given us. My old passport expires June 2015. Can we still send my old passport or should I wait for the new one? Below is the instruction from the letter for request for the passports. My husband insists we can send my old passport but I still want your thoughts about this. Thank you for your replies in advance.

IMPORTANT NOTES about Visa and Passport validity
You should ensure that everyone in your family has a passport valid for a minimum of 12 months from the date of the most recent full medical examination. Visas can only be issued to a maximum validity of 12 months from the date of your most recent Immigration Medical Examination (IME) assessment. If your family has medical examinations on different dates, the validity of your visas will be 12 months from the date of the first assessment. If any one of your passports will expire before 12 months from the date of the medical examination, your visas will expire on the date of the first passport to expire. If your passports will expire soon, it is in your interest to obtain new or updated passports to ensure your visas are issued with maximum.

Hi po mga ka-forum.
Ako na pala ang pinaka matagal and progress. Application received by CIO 05 March 2014, AOR 08 April 2014, . Mula noon hanggang ngayon walang paggalaw ang application ko. Pwede na kaya ako mag follow up sa ADVO?
Seniors please advise... :(

Unfortunately, there is no follow-up - visa offices/processing offices do not reply to a direct inquiry ng status ng isang application. Makakatanggap ka lang ng receipt reply sa email mo (which is standard), pero don't expect a reply immediately or even at all if status ng application ang itinatanong. Backread ka muna sa thread to see (diskarte) how to try to get information on an application without directly asking for status.

Nevertheless, see here for enquiries to the ADVO. (See Enquiries) - you can try padalhan sila ng message.

Thanks ragluf
Lalo akong na sad sa sinabi mo. Pero I'll keep hoping pa rin na sana maka receive na ako ng good news in the coming week.
Congrats sa mga nasa "Graduating" stage na.

Additional question ragluf/forum mates...
Nag assume lang ako na ADVO and mag process ng PR ko kasi nandito ako sa UAE pero walang info/advice from CIO na ADVO nga. Saan ko pwede itanong just in case tumagal pa ang waiting time ko?
TIA

Wag ka na maghintay pa....start now:
1. Ask CIO where (which VO) the file was transferred (ayan di ka nagtanong ng status ng application). Send an email via: CIO‑Sydney‑Search‑Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca.

(information here) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/sydney.asp

2. Ask ADVO if your file was transferred to them from CIO-NS. Send email via: abu-dhabi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca

(information here:) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/abu-dhabi.asp
Note there is another way - case specific inquiry - see the website above how to get to the link:
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=abu%20dhabi&_ga=1.59647144.484288921.1414778100

3. Additional - Ask CEM
Send an email to: manila-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca
Case specific: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=manila

Highlight na since April, wala pang further correspondence or instructions received (150+ days) from any processing office.

Again, always check the spam folder, baka nagpadala na, pero napunta sa spam.
