Sooo... i got my passport back last Jan. 29. less than two weeks nung pinasa ko sa embassy, thank GOD! and nashock na ang bilis nakabalik. now i'm looking for a flight to MB this MAY. i got some concerns

1. Ung wife and son ko kasi susunod nalang after me. siguro mga Oct pa sila pupunta. Do i have to inform the canadian embassy about it?

any help will be appreciated.

THank you guys!!

Goodluck to your new journey :)

BTW, We're in Fairmont Airport Hotel in Vancouver now... MISSED our connecting flight to Winnipeg due to one-hour delay of the flight from Hongkong...coupled with long cues in security check and immigration counters. Anyway, we'll be flying out at 8:40am today to Winnipeg and hopefully touch-down in Winnipeg airport by 1:40pm... ;D ;D ;D

Which means enroute to Winnipeg - you have landed already! CONGRATULATIONS and welcome to the True North :)

Wow, I didn't know they do that. I thought you have to wait until your passport is returned.

The PPR letter does have the validity dates of the visa if all assessments have been completed. These are "canned/template" letters that are sent to the applicants depending on the state of the application. Yours may have been pending the security checks such that they cannot state your visa is ready to be issued in the PPR, but requested the PP just the same. Nevertheless you can deduce the validity/expiry date of your visa based on when your medicals have been received - add 1 year and that should be the expiry date of the visa.

Thanks, Sir! I hope you had a great time while back in the motherland... ;)

Off topic (apologies): And to others who are asking (tabs, poutine) - Yes I did have a great vacation. Christmas and the holidays are always much more fun in the PH. And the weather was cooperating, as we had that spell of cool weather, so it was nice and lovely to be outside. All the familiar tastes and time with family and friends - it was great coming back. Plus the fact that I can get out and be wasted and drunk and still walk to our residence, something I cannot do here for fear of DUI/DWI/PI.... :):):)

Too short - for some reason time really flies past down in the PH; there are always something to do and so little time :).

Thanks, as always. Glad to know you enjoyed your holidays albeit a short one.

This last step is driving me crazy, that's all. :o :o :o

guys,

its been a while since my last visit here in this thread. it has been a very busy month for us ..ang dami palang aasikasuhin. ..

anyway, i have a friend who will also be migrating this coming april ( 1 week later than us) . But ang problem ay hindi na nya makita yung baby book or even his childrens pedia.

by the way, congrats to all those who received their passports with visa... see you in winnipeg :)
