how is everyone doing? id like to ask if anyone from this forum is from Cebu? would you know if the consulate office here also accepts PNP applications (like dropbox for payment, etc)? when I get my LOA, i'm planning to pay via manager's check.

should I go to Manila to proceed?

You don't need to go to any embassy. All applications are done via email and courier/ postal mail.

The first thing you will have to do is send your application to CIC Nova Scotia, Canada with the visa processing fee of CAD550, you can also pay your RPRF (CAD490) already if you want along with the visa processing fee.

Then you wait for your AOR, then your MR. Once you receive your MR, the emails and any correspondence will be from the Canadian Embassy, Manila (CEM). Even PPR will only be sent to them via courier. So, basically, the consulate in Cebu will not be able to process your application.

Last Nov. 18, hiningan po kmi ng CiC ng certificate of clearance from
Singapore. we already mailed our application for coc and the singapore police force recvd our documents, but kahapon po they emailed us again to send additional
Requirements such as a copy of passport arrival and departure, old work permit ID card in sg, letter from employer.. ang prob po kac we dont have copy sa passport details such as yun travels namin and yun passports is with the phil consulate in vancouver for renewal. we only have certificate of employment from sg employer whic is less than 6 months po.. and wla na po kmi copy ng work permit ID card..

Hi, meron ba dito kamukha ng case ko? Si hubby kasi nagsputum test pa sya, makukuha pa result sa february 2014, kailan kaya sya ulit ieexray? Alam ko wala naman sya sakit eh, meron lang talaga sya scar sa lungs. Haist.

chest x-ray and evaluation by the designated pulmonogist will be repeated after 3 mos. from the date of the 1st x-ray. kung negative naman lahat, the DMP will clear him and forward his medical result to CEM. Good luck

Regarding yung police clearance, required for all applicants aged 18 and above for all countries that you've been a resident of for 6 months or more( see cic website regarding police certificate ). Sa case namin na request yung police certificates before medical for both Singapore and Philippines.

Yung sa online status access, if ECAS yung nirerefer mo, nawalan din ako access for almost a week. Nag send ako ng case specific enquiry, di sila nag respond pero after a few days naka check na ulit ako ng status ko. Since nasa Canada ka you have the option to call the call centre number (contacts page of cic on call center number usage states that: You should only contact the Call Centre if you have submitted an application from within Canada and:

• if you cannot verify the status of your application using the online application status tool

Hello po sa lahat! I just want to share kung papano kumuha ng police clearance from Indonesia kung meron mang nangangailangan. Sobra pong konti ang info tungkol dito kaya nahirapan po ako at lumampas pa sa binigay na deadline ng Canadian embassy. So i-she-share ko lang po if ever may kailangan.

What you need are photocopies of your KITAS (limited stay permit card or work permit) or SKLD, 6 copies of 4x6 cm. photos with red background, current passport (all pages), your work ID in Indonesia and/or a Certificate of Employment (para makita po ung dates na nag stay kayo sa bansa) and fingerprint formula (nakukuha po ito sa mga major police stations dito sa atin). Kailangan nyo din ng application form, nakuha ko ung sa akin mula sa Indonesian Embassy (Salcedo St., Legaspi Vill., Makati).

I-scan nyo po lahat at i-email sa yanorasmetro@yahoo.co.id. Ang phone number po nila ay (6221) 523-4332 and look for Pak Wibowo. Napo-process po ito ng 3-4 days. Tapos pwede nyo pong ipa-claim sa representative nyo (kelangan po ng authorization letter) or claim it yourself sa Si Yanmin Pelayanan Orang Asing, Direktorat Intelkam Polda Metro Jaya, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman No. 55 Jakarta Selatan. May "bayad" po ito (sasabihin sa inyo "up to you" yung amount) na parang tip nyo sa kanya. Pwede na po ang Rp 50000 to 100000 (mga P150-300).

Opo na-explain ko naman sa embassy nung lumampas ako sa deadline, binigyan naman nila ako ng extension. Tama po kayo, sobrang saya nung nakuha ko yung PC kahit gumasta ako kasi pumunta pa ako dun!

Kumusta po mga ka-forum. May question lang po sana ako. Kailangan ba na dalhin sa Canada yung Proof of Fund na required nung mag-apply tayo sa CIC? Magla-landing kami anytime soon. 3 kami (mag asawa at may isang anak). Ang minimum fund required nung mag apply kami for visa ay CAD$ 17,011 for 3 family members. Plano sana naming magdala ng CAD$ 5,000 cash at 4,000 traveller's cheque at yung remaining ay iiwan muna namin sa bank account sa Pinas. Hindi ba hahanapin sa immigration / point of entry sa Canada na dapat CAD$ 17,011 ang dala namin either in the form of cash or cheque? Thank you po sa sasagot.

@jhane, are you in Canada? The hotline is only for those residing in Canada. And even if you are residing in Canada the line should only be used kung nag-exceed na ng normal processing time for your VO or if your application is in process and you could not check your status online( check the contact us page of cic ). If you're not in Canada you can file for case specific enquiry or send a direct email for your specific VO. I've seen people follow up even if processing times aren't exceeded but there's no guarantee that the VO will reply given the large number of applications and there is also no guarantee that processing will speed up.

In our case, we are part of the backlog reduction program for Ontario, those part of this backlog reduction program have the option for filing for open work permit. After applying for PR, we also felt that processing was taking so long so we applied for open work permit as an alternative. Siguro nakatulong yung application namin for open work permit to force their hand to start processing PR after a month and we got both requests for additional documentation and then medical requests after that.

I guess the only advice is to wait patiently, keep praying and follow-up only after normal processing times are exceeded. Not really much we can do in terms of speeding up processing times.
