This I received before

This letter refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada under the Protected Persons class.
It has been determined that you and your family members meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a Protected Person. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, your family members. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these
When did you receive this letter and when did you receive the final letter?

Congratulations! Your'e the first JULY 2019 applicant to receive Approval letter on this forum, also you're lucky you got approved 3 moths before completion date. I guess the Hamilton office are doing a good job lol compared to Etobicoke and Quebec. The next step for you is one of three things:
1. You either get a letter from immigration asking you to go to the office for a two questions verification interview then you get the COPR on spot then you apply for the card.
2. You get the COPR by mail without going to the office and then you apply for the card.
3. You get an email informing you that you will receive another email with log in details for e-portal, after you receive the second email you submit a picture and your address on the portal, they review it, then they upload the copr for you to download it, then they send you the pr card automatically.

Keep us updated here and we are more than happy to guide you.

A couple of questions please

1. When did you get this email?
2. Have you received another email before? ( AIP/Eligibility) or that's your first email?

Congratulations again and keep us posted!
Number 1 it's out of options due to Covid situation , may be number 2 or 3 , number 3 is more probable

I thought that someone will contact me from IRCC or send me a approval of letter that my PR is ready to pick up or they’re going to send me by email or mailbox I didn’t know even after approval letter or application has been completed I still have to apply for PR?

No your pr is completed. The next process is confirmation of pr and pr card. (like normally you would wait on the letter to collect copr and then apply for the card)

the instruction will be in the email. you can use a selfie that meets ircc requirements or scan and upload a professional one or have the photographer email it to you and upload it in the portal. each person that has been granted pr will have their own separate portal.

So now you got approved and all good, but the process is not over yet. You have to wait till you receive a paper called COPR ( Confirmation of Permanent Residency ). Before Covid you used to get this in person, now you will receive it by regular mail or they will send you an email for e-portal instructions. This is the paper you need to get the card. If you receive this paper by mail, you will have to apply for the card separately like when you applied for the medical insurance card with refugee claims letter for example. If that's the case, you will get the card in 2-4 months. The other scenario is to get an e-portal details where you upload a pic and your address details and they will send you an electronic COPR to download and you will skip the effort and time of applying for the card as they will send it to you automatically and it will take 1-2 weeks. Now you have to wait for next step.
Feel free to post here and myself or anybody here will tell you details about e-portal request.

Nobody mentioned here yet that they received e-copr. Few members here got e-portal log in details, uploaded a pic and provided the address like two weeks ago but no e-copr yet. Waiting for this golden document :D
