Hi All,

I have a question about spouse PR AOR.

I am principal applicant and I submitted my PR application along with my spouse PR application in March 2020.

My question is will my spouse also receives his AOR at a same time when I get mines? Any body with experience please? Will IRCC contact me or my spouse for his PR application? @Jalalcananda
She will receive it 2h after you. Hopefully

@Jalalcananda @RefugeeHelp1

I am tagging the experts but anyone can help.
When I applied for PR in March 2019, I did a mistake of choosing the "unaccompanied" option for my spouse who is outside Canada. I thought that not being present in Canada means unaccompanied. But I did pay the PR fee for three people, myself, my minor child with me in Canada and my spouse outside Canada.

I learnt about this mistake through my MP office and since then I have twice provided the amended forms, explanatory letter, copies of our marriage documents etc.
Do you guys think it should be sorted once they start working on our PR applications? Does anyone have any experience like mine?
I am too scared if they make us suffer just because I did this really stupid mistake. Feeling so guilty!!!
Thanks for all the help!
Just send them the same form with corrections asap.

Hey guys, yesterday I got my COPR notification in my gckey account. There is no letter just the expiry dates and document number. It's been so long and I've been so busy with school that I honestly forgot about PR altogether. I'm lost. Today I received a call and they asked me whether I was in Canada or not and I said yes. But now what? What are my next steps and what should I do?
They are just checking to make sure you are in Canada so you can do a virtual landing. They now doublecheck because others have not updated their status and they have received virtual landing outside Canada which is not supposed to happen and creates a lot of problems.

Thanks a lot! I will call them sometime this week. I haven't call them since ages. It's about time now :).

Another thing, my GCMS notes show status as "PP - queued for decision". It does not show "PP - ready for landing".
What is the difference I wonder...
There is no need to call especially sincr you have GCMS notes. You will be receiving the same information.

Yeah ask every month there is no harm, my friend JalalCanada used to ask every month he has 20 GCMS notes finally he got his COPR
There is a harm. It is a waste of government resources. We all end up paying for the unecessaey GCMS notes in the end. If your case is being processed during a normal timeframe there is nothing to be concerned about and there will be no changes every month. Taxpayers are paying for the service plus the postage. Like any other government service it should only be used when necessary and not just because there is no upfront cost to you.

Hello Everyone,

The purpose of this post is to update anyone who is in similar position about my application process and need some guidance regarding Police Clearance Certificates.

My timeline is as below:
  • 5 September 2019 - Applied for PR
  • 13 December 2019 - Received AOR
  • 24 December 2019 - Received Application Update E-mail (after which I could link my application to online account)
  • 6 September 2020 - Received request for Police Clearance Certificate (exactly after 1 year of application submission, may be it's just a co-incidence)
  • Estimated completion date is 5 May 2021
Below is the part of letter for Police Clearance Certificate. I am from Pakistan. Having lived in UK as well for few years. They have explicitly asked for UK Police Certificate and RCMP certificate. Do I need to get police clearance certificate from Pakistan as well?

> Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate. Please visit http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp or contact the Call Centre, toll free, at 1-888-242-2100 for further information on how to obtain a police certificate. Please send the original police certificate for United Kingdom And Colonies (and any other country that you have resided in for 6 months or more since the age of 18) to this office as soon as you receive it. All documents that have been written in a language other than English or French must be accompanied by an official translation. If your police certificate indicates any charges and/or convictions, you must also provide court documents detailing the disposition of each charge and the sentence of each conviction.
You have 60 days from the date of this letter to comply with this request.

> RCMP police clearance certificate: You must provide an RCMP police clearance certificate based on fingerprints. Find instructions below.
Also, what will be the next step after the police clearance and when should I expect that?

Thanks in advance for the guidance.

No you don’t need PC from Pakistan, just send them UK PC.

Hey @canuck78
What I should tell you that not be deleted by your colleagues?!
I guess government is paying you from OUR TAXES to come here misleading us, threatening us, disappointing us and overall bullshiting us.
I am taxpayer and I can tell you please shut up and let people use their rights.
Everyone tries to ignore you but you never understand your limits.
FYI I ordered the gcms every month for 22 months to waste your resources :D

BTW the gcms usually doesn't need post service.
Also it is generated by computer without human help and is posted by email.
Everyone please try to order every month to have a real update on your cases.
Also you can order gcms from Canada intelligence service and Canada Border security to have the omitted security information in an immigration gcms.
