i am so upset. instead of seeing PPR i got letter to submit FBI Finger prints. i sent them state one before.. so upset. today i sent my finger prints to FBI. how long is it going to take....???

Hello my friend. My wife was approved as my sponsor on the 15th of october, and so far I haven't heard anything from my visa office. I am not even sure they have received my file.
Don't be upset. It's a long wait, but it will worth the long wait.

good luck and best regards!

We sent off the receipts express post to Mississauga and Buffalo for the RPR fee. Hope they update quick, next step - PPR - come on Buffalo!!!

Last letter we got stated the are about to finalize the PR app. and to pay the fees and interview waved.

My husband finally got his passport with visa!
I have yet to book him a flight though but for sure before the 15th :)

Sent the passport off today itself. Hoping to get it by dec 23. We are going on outstation to another country and would need it for that. Did not have much of a choice since the passport had to be sent by Dec 21.

It will expire on June 21, 2011; that's exactly a year after he had his medicals done.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!
PPR email just received!! Woohoo!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

Is now a permanent resident!! We landed at the Prescott/Ogdensburg POI..

Landing Experience: We first drove across the bridge into the U.S. to flagpole to land back in Canada. The Canada side is far nicer than the U.S. side. Anyway,we just had to do a U-turn then handed us a yellow slip and parked and went inside. They only asked a few questions verifying things on the COPR and it was painless. I was done in about 10 min. Overall it was very easy experience and so relieved that it is over

so basically How did u got your passport in canada. Can you have visa office mail you passport to Canada? looks like your case was proccssed outside canada

As soon as we receive my husband passport back in the mail, were gonna drive to the border to flagpole.
What do we tell the border agent? that were just gonna do a u-turn to come back to canada?
or do we have to say were going to the u.s for the day and then come back?

when i arrived at the border, we told the border agent we want to go back to canada to land, they asked us questions, like how long i have been in canada, and what class i was applying in for pr....after that ,the guard instructed us to do a u-turn, then just head back to canada, only took about 5 min

So, when you got PPR and then got the Passport back, you drove to the border? when they sent your passport back, did they say you could now land or give you any paperwork so you could land?

Just want to understand more of what they do.
