I'm really hoping to get off my application this month, just waiting for the PCs. Need one from UK & Australia - hoping it won't be ages, then it can all go!

After sponsorship approval (positive assumptions of course), hopefully London won't take too long to approve it all, so I can finally get to Canada and actually live with my husband again!

My husband and I are about to send off our application. I was just curious as to how many immigration photos did you have left over after the medical and police clearance to submit with the application. We got the original 8 required but are now left with 2. Is that enough or should we go and have another set done?

I suppose I can add myself.. Just sent application to Mississauga on September 7. They received it September 9th...

by the way, in response to bonbon having his police certificate mislaid by DHL -- I've heard bad things about DHL, avoid them at all cost! And no, I don't work for their competitors...

Hi Reemagray,
If I were you, I would get a whole new set of 8. If they say the require 8, it means they require 8 for the application. When I did the medical, the doctor in Lima, Peru took about 4 of them and only had one pasted on the medical receipt that we attached to the application. The police there didn't require any photos since they either took them themselves or had them on-file. But luckily, we had taken 12, so we had 8 exactly for the application -- which Peru asks for. But essentially, what I mean to say is that I am pretty sure if they say they need 8 photos, they require 8 photos that are separate from police/medical photos needed -- I think I had even asked someone at the embassy in Peru and she had confirmed this.

Either way, it's better to give them too many than too little.

limanoid: I received my new PC through fedex, excellent choice! Arrived the next day without problems. I'm totally avoiding DHL to send in my application, hopefully next Tuesday!

I can guarantee you that you will need 8. In fact the 8 you submit should be different, as they have specific height to width ratio aspects that are not required for your medicals and police clearances. So my advice, get a new set of 8.

Hi everybody I'm a little confused I sent my application already and I know they got it because I check in Canada post, but do the confirm that they receive my application? Or they just send an e mail when the sponsorship is approved? Can somebody help me? Thanks!

My wifes outland app was sent to Mississauga.
