Hi All,

Hoping you can help me with some advice.

I now almost have everything ready to send to Mississauga for sponsorship approval before it all gets sent back to London for the visa to go through, the only thing missing is the Australian police check (I lived there until I was 21). I'm wondering if its worth to send it all off to Mississauga for the initial approval and in the meantime the Australia police check with come through and then I can just send it to London when it arrives and it will all just connect up nicely, or is it worth waiting maybe another 2 to 3 weeks depending on postal services from Australia to UK and then UK to Canada just for this final piece of paper?

I know it says you should send everything together up front, but then I could be wasting another couple of weeks, whereas once they request it in London as least I could overnight it to London or even drive it down to them faster than waiting for the next couple of weeks for the Australian police check to arrive.

What's your thoughts?

If it will only take a few weeks to get, you should get it upfront. If you wait for them to request it, sure you can ship it overnight but that doesn't mean they will look at it right away.

When they request paperwork from the applicant, they put the file away until a set "revisit date" that can be up to 3 months. It doesn't matter how soon they get the paper after they request it - they won't reopen your file until the revisit date. It doesn't always take the full 3 months but it's just about guaranteed to delay you more than a few weeks.

Ahh, i didn't know about revisit dates, so thanks so much for letting me know about that.

Will be waiting I think until I get these final papers so that it can all go through straight away.

HUGE UPDATE!!!

BONBON HAS JUST SENT HER APPLICATION like 20 mins ago!!!
Should be arriving to Mississauga tomorrow.. through Fedex priority overnight
My goshhhh finally!! After like.. 3 months of work! After we came back from sending the application, my husband and I looked at our very very messy appartment.. Glad I have this thing off my hands!! Time to pick up my life again!! hee hee

Hello Everyone

New here to this site .
My wife and i have just sent our application to mississauga on Sept 10 arrived Sept 14 via fedex .
In all the papers we sent weighed 13 pounds .
After sponsor ship is accepted papers will go to Manila .

Hi all, I'm new today ! I sent off my sponsorship app on 3rd September, my visa office will be London. I am desperate to get out to Canada - I lived there until I was 9 and am now moving back with my little boys and my fiance (when his PR comes through!).
My sister and her family moved back 4 years ago and we are counting the days until we can see eachother again !!
