I received AOR almost a week ago.. they sent it through email. Are you sure the email did not go to spam?
Check check check! It wouldn't make sense that they started to process my file if yours was received earlier, GT25!!

as we are using a lawyer to help us with our process, I'm not sure which e-mail address we have for communications...

can you see anything different on E-cas ?
all I can see is: 'not available'... and it's very frustrating...

Now I'm worried I always check my e mail in the junk inbox and nothing, nothing in the mail either and you are right I sent mine first! I'm scared now:'( my sponsor approval was dated on Sept 30 dadu, bonbon please keep me posted of your process, what the letter says?? I have a question, maybe you or any of our mates can help me:

I was reading the E-cas FAQ, and what i understood from it is that, once the 1st stage of the sponsorship is approved, I now have to follow the updates using MY DATA (sponsored), and not my wife's data anymore (sponsor). Is that correct ?
because I am using her data to log in.

It doesn't matter which details you use on Ecas. I always use the sponsor details - mainly because I have the receipt number memorised from checking it so many times!!

Thanks mate. I'm doing the same, using my wife's info. But no update yet
been quite impacient, since it's been 2 months from sponsorship approval, and haven't heard anything from V.O...
anyway, let's keep waiting, hoping and praying... hehehhe

Not that this will make you feel any better... But I don't understand the whole immigration process. I know a few people at least a month before me at the Moscow office which haven't heard of anything since sponsor approval. I heard at end of Nov... Like I said, how things work, I have no idea.?.?.?

Hey Bonbon,

I guess I should give an update. From what I remember, we were "in process" on October 25 and we received AOR around November 25. Though, we were sent AOR a few days after my husband made a failed attempt at getting a visitor's visa. So I presume he only got the letter because they realised they had forgotten to send him... Really! It was too much of a coincidence

As for the "expected date of approval"..... I'm guessing October 2011, but hoping for a miracle (like December 9, 2010).. ha!

and because im getting impatience too... so i called to the immigration office yesterday regarding to my case .. but they told me they know nothing about my case except i have been approved as a sponsor for my husband.. the rest of the works need to be noticfied from Caracas visa office... my heart has a OS. ... oh diosss.s.s. it gonna be long and forever...

and same as you... my document organized by lawyer and truly i called to his secertary almost everyday to seek for update .. hahahaha ... you see how impatient i am... so they said , they did receive nothing from them.. I feel exactly how you feel . . .

but thanks to god... i am going to see my husband in 2 weeks... just keep my fingers crossed to hear something before Christmas just leave me in peace!!!! :'(

Expected date might be in April 2011 as I still got to provide the embassy police clearances from Thailand and Turkey. But, hopefully help will come from my friends and to those who are willing to help me follow up requests. Thank you very much .

To the Septemberians , let us keep our faith and hope , patience to go along the time and tides in our application. Sooner or on time , as I dont want to use the word " later " that our visas will arrive.

Dadu and GT25: My letter was sent on PDF format through my email. It basically says that my file was received on October 21st, and that they have created a file number for me. Letter is dated December 2nd (same date they sent it). And... that's about it! :-\ Sorry it doesn't help much.. I can't wait for you to receive news from your VO's!! Please keep us posted!!

limanoid: Oh no I'm so sorry to hear his visitor visa got denied.. But at lest you know that they're processing his case. Is it a straight forward case? I hope it will be processed quickly, please let us know!! Good luck and best vibes your way!

Everyone: Don't grow impatient!! Try to look into other things like updating your married name, updating married status on CRA, legalizing documents like professional titles, etc etc.. Think that if you do it now, besides keeping you busy and making time go faster, it will save you time later on as once you/your spouse lands and starts settling in the country, spending time with relatives, and most importantly with each other, you won't have time for any of this!!
I'm crossing my fingers all the time so you all hear from your VO's soon!!

Would love to be updated....Inland is a bit different as they simultaneously assess the sponsor and the applicant....but I am in Process, seeing as I can't see it on e-cas I'd love to see it on the forum. You guys are great, I read it religiously, even if I don't speak up that often .
