She got her ppr on the 14th of April, so I mean this has to be like miracle or something!! NO one has replied to me!!! my husband sent his passport to guate from honduras march 25 i have been sponsering him for almost 2 years and they have told us that they are convinced that our relationship is genuine and all that but he had to do an ARC acouple months back PLEASE LET ME KNOW A GENERAL IDEA OF WHEN HE CAN EXPECT HIS PASSPORT BACK FROM THEM AND WHAT WE COULD POSSIBLY DO TO MAKE IT GO FASTER?!?!?
WE HAVE BEEN RECIEVING "HELP" FROM THE MPP'S OFFICE BUT ITS REALLY NOT DOING ANYTHING. aLSO HIS APPY HAS GONE OVER THE 18 MONTH TIME PERIOD!

Well every timeframe for each case is diferent but usually is taking to 6 to 10 weeks to get the passport back, take in consideration that probably could be more information to process.

But still, we don't have the answer. It only says: decision made.

Have you any idea of how long it takes to have the passport/visa and other?

well when it says decision made they will probally email you or call you to one of my husbands friend in Costa rica they told him to go on a certain day to the embassy there in costa rica to pick up his decision made and thats when he got the approval and his passport but who knows every case is different

Karine22 when did you do your medicals last, and how long did it take them to process ur meds?
 
The last time my husband did the medical was last november, because it has been a year so he needed to do it again. He also had to re-do his passport. We sent the papers in ehhh.... december, but we were missing a police certificate from cuba (we waited 7 months to get this damn police certificate).

We sent the police certificate at the end of march, and they got it around march 30. I email the embajadora to tell her personaly that they had everything + we have a baby thad had a huge surgery + we had been waiting for 15 months. I had no answer. But today it has change, which mean less than a month since they have all our papers.

But seriously I don't know how long they took to process the medicals, nobody ever told me anything! I mean, the only clue I had was the "we are processing his PR" on the cic website.. but I never knew when it was processed or not... how can you know it anyway????? Can we know???

Anyway so that's about it. I think that when all the papers are there it's faster...? I know that, last year, they asked us a lot of papers and they took a LONG time to process (like 5 months) then they sent us another letter saying that we still had papers missing... I don't get it.. I don't know how they work, it's weird...

I have a question, not for me but for a friend who just got married to her husband in Costa Rica and I'm helping her with the procedure. Anyways, they went to the civil registry (they got married on April 16th) and woman there told her it would take up to two months before her marriage is written in the official civil registry and they gave her a "in the meanwhile" marriage certificate. She wants to know if she can use that to send with the immigration application to the guatemala office. I advised her not to, but then I am asking here to be sure.

Tell your friend to go to the Canadian Embassy in CR en el Oficentro La sabana, The visa officers will tell him what to do.
Yet went I asked for the right way to present the documents, they said (obviously) they all need to be translated to English by a certified Translator,and NOTARIZED, as for every document that needs to be certified as legal and AUTHENTIC, and then you take them to them to stamp a seal from the embassy they will charge you for that, but I said, the embassy will be able to tell you exactly what you need to do for the documents
