belize; If I was you, I would do it again, NOW! just in case... it's 100$ or 150$ and a couple hours you need to have, but if you don't need it it's only this little money you will have lost, and if you need it well it will be already done.

congratulation for visas, please give me good luck too, I really waiting for my passports I sent my passports December 2010 and waiting since medical expire in march, I dont know what should I do, really worried.
I agree with Karine22. I always thought no big deal and wait until they asked for them but since medicals have to go to another place first before they head to Guatemala it is worth the money.
Good luck! I was surprised we were so fast. I was expecting it to be 18 months.

Thank you so much karine, for your advise, but problem is my application is FSW federal skilled worker, and to redo medicals, I have to have medicals forms with picture from embassy then I have to take to doctor to do medicals without that paper how I can do medicals? Please advise, and is there any grace period in medical??
Regards,

belize: I don't know about the visa form... but for the PR (if I remember good) we just had to bring the form to the med and do it again. If you are not sure, you might:
1) Call the doctor you saw first and ask him/her
2) Email the embassy saying "URGENT" and ask thhem

Hello everyone
My husbands medicals expire now in August, should I re-do them now or not and another thing where do the medicals go first I thought they would go straight to the vo in Guatemala. Thanks in advance :)

Alex121: I don't think that you have to do them again, it's still in 4 months! You have time to have an answer by then :)

Hey karine22
Ya thats what I was thinking too like I mentioned before they asked for my husband passport, police certificate, and permenant resident fee in feb I sent it out in March so I am guessing MAYBE I will have decision made b4 august but at the same time am like maybe not thats why I wanted to know if I should be a step ahead just in case, but ya still 4 months lets see what happens.
THANKS :D

Weird! They called and emailed us the same day that it said decision made :S Let me know when you hear something! Hopefully we'll both be in Canada at the same time! Where are you from?

Please keep us updated on every thing that happens from this point on we have been also doing this 22 months this month. he sent his passport march 25 and we have not heard anything since.
Did you send anything with the passport?
my husband was sent an email in january 2011 stating that we have statisfied them that we have a genuine relationship and we would not need to go for an interveiw.
Where is he from my husband; Honduras i live in niagara falls canada
p.s there is still no decision made on my ECAS and we have not seen eachother for 8 months and debating spending every last bit of savings we have for me to travell their again because we dont want to wait a min longer...... its probably not worth it but we miss him soooo much:(

congrats!!!!

also i would just like to remind everyone if they are not travelling from central america directly through canada they need a passenger visa i have no idea how much or how long this takes but i only know of one airline that flies straight to canada from elsalvador is TACA and its about 400$ more then a flight that stopes through the states

News: Ok my husband got news from the consulate saying that they will only have the correspondency from Guatemala on may 20.... damnit!!! So long to wait again grrrrr these things are now really pissing me off. Sorry..

FLight: Yeah, if he's doing a transit in the US he needs a transit Visa. In Nicaragu a it's 140$US. He needs to open an acount in Banpro, deposit the money there. Then fill a form at the US embassy in Nicaragua, pass an interview, give them the "baucher" from Banpro and leave his passport. He needs to tell them in which bank and where he wants to pick up his passport back. THey said that all this transit is about a week... let's say more because it's latino time. Sooooo maybe he'll look up to catch a direct flight from El Salvador, or take one from Managua to Toronto and them catch another flight up to Montreal or take the bus Greyhound. We'll see by then...

Another 15 days waiting.. let's count now..!

karine22: but did they tell you there would be correspondence there for him on the 20th for sure?
also my husband was in the united states illegally he was never deported from there but he had to get a criminal record check from the FBI so im sure they know he was there illegally now (if not before) so i am concerned about applying for this transit visa

ruby: no they did not confirm that there would be something for him

please keep us posted!!!
this is the same for my hubby he send his passport a month after yours.
and we wait for the 20th of every month hoping he will be called ...... i still call them every 20th :P
also we recieved and email yesturday thet his file is in queue to be reviewed by an immigration officer so i dont know how long that takes:/

Hi karine22!

Since im in the almost same situation as you (my other half is in Argentina and was refused in the past Visa tourist for USA) i was wondering if you know what happen if they enter Canada by Toronto to then come in Montreal? Cause Immigration Québec are saying on the website that they need to go to the office at the airport, which is not where they would end up if they take a domestic flight from Toronto..?

Maybe im worried for nothing.. but i would really appreciate if you could answer something? ??? loll i dont know what to think and when i talk about it with him he answer that we have to wait before to worry about that.. loll but well.. being a girl i guess i worry more?

Good luck to you! ;D

dyj2010: Welll I never thought about that before... ahhah thanks for telling me!!!!! Buttt I guess that if he buy a flight from montreal to toronto, the final destination wouls be toronto then? hmmmmmm I guess we'll have to call the consulate AGAIN or immigration Canada to know.... ehhhhhhhh!
