Hey Aquarian, can I ask you some questions in private? This is my email: beluga1 @ aol.com

Thread isn't exactly active, but new Paris outland applicants may still end up on it (like I did a couple months ago). Just received my COPR (confirmation of permanent residency) in the mail. It's been very quick for me: 4 months.

Application sent: Aug 8th 2013
Application received: Aug 13th
Sponsorship approved: Sept 9th
AOR Paris: Nov 18th
In process: Nov 27th
Decision made: Dec 6th
COPR arrived (in Canada): Dec 17th.

I guess it was a fairly straightforward application without any real red flags, but one cannot be sure of anything before not holding the visa in one's hand! (At least that's my experience in Canada). Good luck to you all!

I haven't had any news since June just that they got my medical, Decision Made, and nothing for 6 months.

Hi Everyone,

I'm about to send my application through Paris (I'm Spanish) and I have an urgent question: When you certify copies of your documents by a notary public like your passport or marriage certificate, the notary publics text is from your country of origin, in my case Spanish...do you need to translate by a sworn translator also this text? What did you do?

I've posted my full question in a new topic too but looking to hear specifically how you managed this.

Many thanks!

Isidro

We started processing xxx application on December 18, 2013.

18th December Start processing my application
30/12 Decision made!!

Congrats mngantusa! They do seem quite speedy in Paris. It took nearly 3 weeks for the letter to be sent to Canada from Paris in my case, may be faster for you if you're in Europe. Just a large envelope in normal mail. Good luck!

Happy new year!

Hi All,

I've created a spreadsheet to have better picture of the timelines for Paris. Still many people and dates missing, feel free to send me updates.

I just got this last week. "We started processing your application on December 27, 2013." and I sent in the application in June.

Also had to pay a fee from removal from like 6+ yrs ago.

It's been over 6 months and 2 weeks already since documents were sent off. I hope like 3 months and 2 weeks left.

Hi JustMarried81,

Spreadsheet updated, good luck.

BTW what do you mean with "Also had to pay a fee from removal from like 6+ yrs ago. "?

cheers
