Hi,
Just a question, if you do not mind...when CIC approved you for sponsorship, they emailed you and your spouse? For us, I (the sponsor) was the only one who got an email...

Thanks...:)

That's great news, your one step closer now! Congrats!

We did receive the AOR from the Paris embassy, it was sent to my partners (the applicant) email, while the sponsorship email were sent to me (the sponsor).

As you are 'in process', I guess everything is in order.

I only sent the medicals after sending the process, as that was how I was told by the local doctor. I guess that is why there is no update on the medicals yet.

Have been 'in process' for about 2 months now. Cant wait to get an update sometime soon!

Best of luck for you!

We went through Paris office last year.

Medicals - Beginning of March 2012
Applied - end of March 2012
File Transfer to Paris in July 2012
eCAS changed to In Process - September 2012
PPR - November 2012
Landed - early Dec 2012 (mailed passport so it took 2-3 weeks to get visa/copr)

If it helps, wife is not from visa-exempt or EU country.

Nothing was ever requested from Paris, and everything was via email.
But we did update them once with visits, photos, etc

We found Paris office to be very fast and efficient in our case....

Hi,

Did eCAS first change to Medical Received, than to In process...? Would you mind telling me which country your wife is from?

Thanks!

@Aquarian:
yes the "medical results have been received" did appear in eCAS before file went into processing. They matched the medical to the file quickly.
Wife was residing in Europe but is citizen of Pakistan.
It all depends on how organized and easy you make it for the immigration officer. The easier it is, the more quickly they make a decision on it. That's my view. We also sent detailed letter explaining everything being sent.

good luck to everyone with paris office

Thank you for your reply. It has helped...We also submitted everything in a well-organized fashion. No detailed letter but I used foldback clips and I had put a cover page on each pile, etc. Also paid all fees in advance including the permanent residence fee.

Yes, Good luck to all!!

ECAS just updated to Medicals Received (status still 'In Progress' though).

Whats should be next? Should I expect a ' Decision Made' soon?

Hi,

If you do not mind, could you tell us from which country your spouse is from?

Status has been updated to Decision Made!!

"A decision has been made on (...) application. The
office will contact (...) concerning this decision."

My partner is from a visa exempt in Europe, no interview was requested, and the passport either.

I don't see any reason for the decision not being positive. How will the office contact us? By mail (post)? How long should it take from here?

I am excited :D
