Great news for both of you and wishing you all a speedy process :-)

I got my passport and COPR back this morning! It arrived and was signed for in London on July 22nd, the visa in my passport was issued on August 2nd and the post mark on the envelope is August 5th. It took quite a while to get back to Canada! It was sent to Canada by Royal Mail "signed for international" post and theres a stamp on the envelope saying it is insured for £50. I don't see any mistakes on my COPR, everything that is there is correct. My address isn't on my COPR but I guess I just give that at the border when I land!

Brilliant news crillz, it's back in your hands now:-) I'm looking forward to getting mine back...
So when are you landing? We are discussing options of where I could land when I get my passport back...

25 days is a pretty good time to get it back from being signed for, the fastest so far is 18...wonder what time I'll get for mine lol

Thank you! We have to get a drive arranged so the soonest we can land is August 26th! Not too bad, going to start applying for jobs in the meantime and see where that takes me! Hopefully you get yours back nice and fast! :)

Great news, the journey for you has well and truly begun :-)

Quick question...after receiving medical results what are the next steps? I.e. which updates should be I expecting? :)

'In process' will probably be next, followed by 'Decision made'. But don't trust ecas, it won't always be updated.

Congratulations though, the ball is definately rolling on your case!

For information, our medical results were received on June 20 and no update at all since.

So, you might be waiting quite a while for your next update, if at all, since they don't always update e-cas ::)

Good luck though Tawcan! :D

Not really the most appropriate place to ask this but I hate starting new threads. When I apply for my sin number once I land will I need to give my old sin number I used when I lived in Canada for a year on a 1 year work holiday visa a few years ago, (sin began with 9 so a temp. sin number). If I do need it I assume I would just need to find the number and not the actual card?

Let them know the old number - FWIW the forms for Ontario are available online.

Hi All!

Im English and my husband is Canadian and we are living in England currently, I cannot say how happy I am to have found this forum and hope you could help with my queries as Canadian EMbassy in London refuse to talk to us!!

I just wonder 2 things at the moment -
1) My husband has been in England since May 2010 - I was told he doesnt need to provide an Option C Tax printout coz he is living in England - is that right? does he need ot provide an English equivalent then?

2) What information do we need to provide to show he is definatley returning to Canada with me? We will be staying with his parents for the first while so have no real "proof" - we could maybe get a letter from his previous employer who said they may take him back on - would this suffice?

MAny thanks everyone in advance, I am so glad to have found possible answers :)

Anna ;D
