Hi Anna, my husband has returned to Canada this year after 10 years here in the Uk, he didnt send in the option C as he hadnt earnt anything in Canada for the last 10 years and all he did was provide a letter explaining this, he is working now in Canada but only for the last couple of months, so he sent proof of his job/earnings and a letter explaining that he had not worked in Canada until the date he started work.AnnaMcG said:Hi All!
Im English and my husband is Canadian and we are living in England currently, I cannot say how happy I am to have found this forum and hope you could help with my queries as Canadian EMbassy in London refuse to talk to us!!
I just wonder 2 things at the moment -
1) My husband has been in England since May 2010 - I was told he doesnt need to provide an Option C Tax printout coz he is living in England - is that right? does he need ot provide an English equivalent then?
2) What information do we need to provide to show he is definatley returning to Canada with me? We will be staying with his parents for the first while so have no real "proof" - we could maybe get a letter from his previous employer who said they may take him back on - would this suffice?
MAny thanks everyone in advance, I am so glad to have found possible answers
Anna ;D
We are also are going to stay with his parents until we get our own place and had originaly got a letter from his parents stating that we are going to stay there with them, also show any job searches you have made, inquiries to rental places, if you have children show them inquiries or searches about schools. If your husband has proof of a bank account still in canada that might help. Anything really that can show your intention to return and ties to Canada.
