congratulations shykitten!!

mdsb, i paid using my wife's visa which is canadian
think you can pay at a bank in the uk if you print off the form on the website, hope that helps
Thanks Mittens... was hoping to pay online as the form is not available on the website and has to be posted to a residence in Canada only... So confusing! Hopefully our UK cards will work just fine

Does anybody know if you have to fill out a list of goods you are bringing in to the country when you land for PR? I know when you move from the US into Canada you have to but i wasn't sure about moving from the UK or any other country?

Thank you in advance ... :D

Hello London!

Just about to send off my application and pay for my fees... Am I able to use the online facility to pay my fees (Outland Family Class - common Law via London (I live in the UK)?) Just started going through the process to pay and I found it says for visa's processed "in Canada only..." How has everyone else paid?

Thanks

MDSB
Also, be great if you can advise if I need to pay for the permanent residence card now ($50) or can that wait until landing?
thanks...
So many of you in this post have already completed the process or are just about to - lucky lucky! It's been great reading your experiences... I've learned a lot already - thanks! I'm aiming to post my package on Tuesday...let the waiting game begin!
:)

I paid online using my UK Visa Debit Card and printed the receipt no problem. Paid the full $1040 required.

Some days going through this process feels like some sort of sick (CIC) prison lol

But it is sooo worth it once you get here!! We've been here for 10 days and already feel like this is our home, all the waiting and form filling is just a distant memory now. You're time will come, just keep smiling!

Hi

We sent our application in March and was received on March 22, 2011. They started processing our application on April 21, 2011 and decision was made for my Wife being eligible to sponsor me. Currently my PR application was recieved May 4th and medical results have also been received.

That's only 2 months in total to get to this stage. Is the London office working overtime or will this progress slow down?? How is everyone application coming along? Steady and fast I HOPE!!

Hi Napiergen!

I think it depends on applicant's background. ours is slow - over 6 months in London - we think it's due to 3 countries we resided in the past and now they doing b/checks and gather info from them.
I read on this forum that many people's applications processed by London were very fast - you can check spreadsheet made by of one members here :) good luck and lots of patience!
