Yep sounds normal.
The next contact from London will likely be an email/letter asking for either more info from you or a PPR.

Hi all,

From your experience in dealing with the London Visa Office, do you know whether we should receive an email or letter from them letting us know that our application is in process? If so, what is the timeline typically? Our application was received on March 21, and I was approved to sponsor my husband on April 20/11, and our file was transferred from Mississauga to London on May 4. Meds have also been receieved. There hasn't been any other updates since then. My husband hasn't rec'd anything to indicate that they have recieved his application/and or that it is being worked on. Is this typical?

Thanks!!

Yes it is typical.

Nothing is set in stone as everyone has a different application, times vary.

If the application is plain and simple and it arrives in London, you can expect to wait with no information other than, "application received on xxxxx" and "Medical received".
After about 10 - 12 weeks from when London received your application, eCAS usually adds "decision made" (sadly it does not tell you what the decision is), then you can expect an email or a letter. I have not heard of many people that get "in progress" updates, but this depends on the officer dealing with your case.

Hi!

in my case -when sponsor was approved, they updated our e-cas profile saying "Decision Made" (next to his name). when London received the application, they updated e-cas (no letters, no emails) saying "we started processing your application on Nov.2010" and that's it. and it still states "In-Process" (next to my name), no changes after 6 months

Hello London!

Just about to send off my application and pay for my fees... Am I able to use the online facility to pay my fees (Outland Family Class - common Law via London (I live in the UK)?) Just started going through the process to pay and I found it says for visa's processed "in Canada only..." How has everyone else paid?

Thanks

MDSB

congratulations shykitten!!

think you can pay at a bank in the uk if you print off the form on the website, hope that helps
