Oh no, that's horrible! Sorry to hear that. And after all the trouble you went through! Thank goodness your MP is helping out.

I remember last year in the fall I had to send documents and the webform wasn't working. But that's crazy that it gave you confirmation and everything. They really have to fix that... Not acceptable.

Wishing you all the best. Although you lost 2 months, I'm sure that wouldn't negatively affect your case, since your MP is involved and has explained that you did send in the documents.

Thank you so much, I am hoping so! The only thing I am scared about is that they gave us 30 days so obviously we were passed deadline if they didn't receive it. We sent them 3 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything. Hoping for some news soon!

Hi all,

To all that received the progression bar email this March 2019 to please leave a feedback on the link that they've provided in the email to let them know about the slower VO's such as LVO. Voice your feedback and opinion to help all the applicants who are stuck on these slower offices and to add manpower. Spread the word & it will benefit all. Thanks!!! :)

Most often when you submit documents they don't notify you. If they didn't receive something they asked for they will send an email asking where they are. They don't update gckey nearly as often as they should. My eligibility was passed last year, and my gckey still reads "were checking to see if your eligible "

then how did you know you passed eligibility?

I got a detailed update on my file

  • The application was received at the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (CPC-M), Ontario on January 16, 2017.
  • The application was refused on January 19, 2018.
  • The decision was appealed and the appeal was allowed, therefore the application has been re-opened on September 17, 2018.
  • The initial assessment to ensure your constituent meets the eligibility criteria and that the application is complete was finalized.
  • The responsible office reviewed the application and documents submitted and determined that the sponsored person (the applicant) meets the eligibility requirements.
o the assessment for the applicant has been finalized at the Canadian visa office in London, United Kingdom.

  • The medical examination results are on file and valid until October 12, 2019 for your constituent’s spouse.
  • The criminality verifications are currently valid.
  • The security verifications are currently in process.

  • There is currently no specific timeframe to complete the process of the application. However, rest assured that all efforts are being made to ensure efficient processing of the application.

Unfortunately, in our case they haven’t reached out to us, it was our MP that contacted Mississauga that said London’s hadn’t received them. Thank goodness our MP was on top of them.

Why was your application rejected last year if you don’t mind me asking?

Do you think it’s safe to do this with those of us who they still haven’t approved our applications? I would love to write one I’m just scared it might jeopardize my husbands application as we’re still waiting..

good, so that means LVO doesn't update until the last minute

there's nothing to be afraid of, its just a quick feedback and suggestion to attend more focus on their busiest VO's and a more detailed progression bar. I myself is a sponsor waiting for my wife's application from LVO.

Good I’m glad. I can’t believe the difference of a ‘slow’ VO to a ‘fast’ one by comparing the differences on this forum. Our hearts dropped the day we found out ours was transferring to London VO because we knew on here of their slow rep. I will gladly give them feedback!

My husband is English, I'm Canadian and we are applying from New Zealand where we both live (application was sent off early Jan). We've just gotten the medical exam request and I've been approved as a sponsor. Is the application more likely to go to New Zealand, England, or Mississauga? Do we get a choice in the matter? I've heard that the England office is slower.

Minor criminal record from back in 2005 :(

Your application will almost certainly go to the Canadian VO in Sydney, Australia, as that is the Canadian VO that deals also with New Zealand. It is not impossible they may process it in Mississauga, but pretty unlikely. In any event, there i.s absolutely nothing you can do to influence which VO it is processed by.
