I received the following email and I don’t know what that means... can someone explain it to me please...
Starting March 6, you will see a progress bar for your online application. The progress bar shows the time elapsed since we received your application. It will also give you an estimated completion date based on our latest estimated processing times.“

Hi All,
I sent my passport to London Visa Office on the 18th of March after PPR, as I need visa to Canada. However, didn't hear anything from them till today. I also emailed them on Friday to LDNIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca, but did not hear anything from them yet. Is there any other way, would you know how to contact them to get quick response? As I have some travel plans soon due to work?

Thanks

Try a web form. There is no way to call them (you would go to a central call centre who can only say what is on the screen in front of them), nor can you call at Canada House as they will turn you away!

i wasn't able to link my application to my online account till today...
after linking it, i found that they are currently checking eligibility...
is this a good sign? or did they start checking our eligibility since my application was received by lvo last july?

Yeah, I sent it yesterday. How long do you think they take to reply?

mine still says checking eligibility even though I got a notice that I passed months ago. It's not up to date at all

It's 100 %useless. It just tells people what they already know. " you applied 2 months ago, average process time right now is 12 months. You have about 10 months left" something like this.

Do you find the tracking spreadsheet useful or not please?

I ask because the number of people volunteering to share their timelines seems to have dropped massively in 2018 and none so far in 2019. If there is little interest in this facility, I can save myself time by stopping updating this sheet. Any thoughts?

All you have to do is IF you are an outland spousal sponsorship applicant who are likely to have their application sent to London Visa Office (i.e. they are British PA, Pakistani PA or another nationality that is normally processed by London) is to post your details here asking to be added to the spreadsheet with information such as:

- Married or common law?
- Roughly where you live now (e.g. London, UK)
- Nationality of application
- Date you know the application was first received in Sydney NS

Then just post updates to this same thread, where I will spot them and update the sheet.
