I may sound like an idiot but can some one tell me what PPR is short for?
London received and have been processing our application since Oct 19th and we haven't heard a thing...anyone else have a time line like ours?

I'm pretty sure it's just passport request... I wouldn't call you an idiot though. There are so many acronyms so I can see that it can get confusing. :)

You aren't forced to stay in Canada while your applications (both sponsorship and permanent residency) are being processed. However, when we submitted our application we forgot to sign one of the documents and they sent the entire application (yes...everything including photos) back to my address in Canada. Since I was at home, I was able to correct this mistake and resubmit the applications. Furthermore, I was told that they check for completeness of BOTH the sponsorship and the permanent residency applications and will not send an incomplete application to London. Our missing signature was on the actual permanent residency application. So it may be safer to wait until you are approved to sponsor then fly out, unless of course you are confident that your application is not missing anything. That's just my two cents :)

Helloooooo!!!

This is my first time posting on the forum but I've been watching it for weeks now whilst MikeUK and I have been waiting for my PPR. Apparently our application went into processing on the 1st Feb and we got a notification on the 3rd saying that they have made a decision and will be contacting me soon.

That doesn't seem like a very long time to process and application that consists of an actual mountain of paperwork. I really hope that doesn't mean we need to have an interview or that it's bad news! And I hope I get a letter or an email soon!!!!!!!

Eeeeeeeeek!!!! I'm so anxious!!!! ???

hello everyone!

Like most, I've been reading posts for a while during the whole processing of my application before actually writing something myself. My application has funnily enough the same timeline as MikeUK, so his news was quite interesting to me. However, since I plan to reside in quebec and need a CSQ, it might be a different timeline in the end. I received an email from London this morning asking me to forward a copy of my CSQ since they have not received it from Quebec immigration...forwarding something to London CHC would mean by mail, fax or webform? I'm a bit stressed about them receiving it in the right format. Would just scanning the document and then sending it via webform be suffice or do they want a real photocopy? Anyone else experience in document requests from London? I'm guessing it's a fairly straight forward procedure but I haven't read a lot of info on this subject!

Welcome,

Try to avoid letting your imagination run riot. It is pretty much impossible to guess what is going on, every case is different.

Smile, chill out and relax a bit ;D ;D ;D

I wouldn't get too stressed. It totally depends on the officer looking at your application. Some people never even received an ECAS update and had their letter sent directly to them via snail mail. I'm sure it's good news!

Wow, London is quick! Started processing at the beginning of the week (4th Feb) and got an e-cas update last night saying decision made. I think it's OK to be optimistic that the letter will be a PPR?!?
