I do like Minstrells! Best thing is at theis moment in time ... i can walk 10 mins and buy some!

aGHHHHHHHHHHHHH Rob that is so unfair!!!! i am craving minstrels so badly right now!!! Thank god i'm flying home on wednesday :)

But just think.....when we all moved to London, didn't we all miss Canadian foods??

I had to get my parents to bring supplies of Kraft dinner, stoned wheat thins, saltines, hawkins cheezies, clamato juice and eggnog!

I think I'll miss Branston pickle and pickled onion monster munch most. That and ridiculously cheap booze!!!

I buy my Branston Pickle in Ottawa, but alcohol, not at UK prices.

A question, why is it that when I feel like a drink, LCBO knows, and closes its stores just before I arrive???
I still get a drink if I want it, because Quebec is so close :)

Its not the same tho - there Coffee taste's like oil change here!

Wait, wait, wait.....you can get Tim Horton's donuts at Spar?!

How come I didn't know this before?? *sigh* of course it's 2 weeks before I move out of the country... Then again I still have two weeks to find them - in London and the South East?

LOL! What a great development in this thread!

I'm on the other side of the equation...I'm in London and have always missed my Canadian treats. The Canada shop in Covent Garden does stock most of the essentials though...but I'm from Ottawa and miss poutine, gabriel's pizza, beavertails, ketchup & dill pickle chips, and timmy's! I heard about tim's stuff being available over here but apparently it's a massive disappointment for those who made the discovery. I never bothered to make the journey myself.

I'll miss the chocolate in general from over here but I haven't really developed enough of a brand loyalty to anything else I don't think - though I will definitely miss the cheap booze and real ales. My wife is concerned about the availability of ginger nuts, jaffa cakes, vimto and christmas pudding...though in all of our time together I've seen her eat each of these things maybe twice. I think it's more the comfort in knowing that you can get it if you happen to want it...probably the same as mmhughes and the poutine cravings :D I think we've found a solution for the pudding though...ordered up a sample pack from http://www.christmaspudding.com/Shop/ this year and they apparently will deliver overseas. I wonder if you can get brandy butter in Canada.
