I have a tendency to double or triple any alcohol called for in recipes...so if I made brandy butter it would certainly pack a punch That may be incentive enough for me to actually eat some Christmas pudding (blech).

Cider - sweet cider is rare, dry blackthorn and magners is available.
Percy pigs - no way, not seen in (Canada by me anyway).
Bourbons - yes at S&I

M&S have a lot to answer for:

Percy pigs and...
Percy Pig & Pals - with cows (cola flavour) and sheep (grape flavour)
Percy Piglets - smaller, sweeter versions of Percy Pigs
Penny Pigs - lemon flavour, I think they have been discontinued.

Also... I am told - Reversy Percy

If you are in a store you can also find various Percy Pig merchandise including mugs, pencil cases etc.

I'll miss the chocolate in general from over here but I haven't really developed enough of a brand loyalty to anything else I don't think - though I will definitely miss the cheap booze and real ales. My wife is concerned about the availability of ginger nuts, jaffa cakes, vimto and christmas pudding...though in all of our time together I've seen her eat each of these things maybe twice. I think it's more the comfort in knowing that you can get it if you happen to want it...probably the same as mmhughes and the poutine cravings I think we've found a solution for the pudding though...ordered up a sample pack from http://www.christmaspudding.com/Shop/ this year and they apparently will deliver overseas. I wonder if you can get brandy butter in Canada.

You can get vimto in Canada too, I have seen it in walmart and metro - although it is quite pricey.
In Sobeys you can irn bru and tizer.

Hi there, I just started reading all these interesting points and those that are missing all there goodies from the UK. For anyone out there who would like to know that there are a few On-line British Shops in Canada that can help any one who needs a fix like wispa you just need to Google British Food.

The other thing I would like to point out that the imported Cadbury Flake (sold thru most non-brit shops) are not the same as british version. While both are made in Ireland, Cadbury Canada's is not a patch on Cadbury UK's!
