As long as the certificates are valid when you apply, you should be fine. They rarely re-request unless your application has taken a really long time. Not sure how long the French one takes, but the UK one is pretty quick and I think you can order it rush anyway (can't remember). So just sit tight and wait and see. :) (You can have a look at the Notes column of the spreadsheet to see who has had new certificates requested; you'll find it's not many!)

Thank you SchnookoLoly! Both were valid, so I'll just wait and see. I had checked the notes on the spreadsheet and had noticed a few got requested, so I just wanted to check over here. :) And you're right, the UK one can be really quick (you pay pay more to get it in two working days). I think the French one was the longest to arrive. Thanks again!

FYI, we just had a Pakistani applicant being processed at London get a decision made today. they applied in December 2015.

just wanted to let everyone know because London had been pretty quiet over the past few weeks.

and February 2016 as well; there's a few February applicants who have background checks in progress as of this week. hard to explain why there's a flurry of activity all of a sudden, but here's hoping they keep up the pace.

Hello everyone
My husband is from uk and app is in London visa office
The application status has changed to application in process since sept 12 2016. File was transferred to London office on August 23rd. Does that mean I should expect something from London visa office soon ?

Check out the 'London processing times' spreadsheet in my signature line below.

London are currently taking at least 7 - 8 months from the time they receive the file (i.e. following sponsor approval) on AVERAGE before a decision (often longer). So if the file was transferred on 23rd August 2016, then no, you won't be hearing from them soon!

Hey SchnookoLoly,

Our application is now in London and 'in process' - as of 21 Sept.

Thanks!

Not Schnook - I am one of her flunkies ;D. Spreadsheet updated, thanks!

I did the same thing. After 30 days of no response or updates to my ecas I emailed the following:
london-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

Got an email within a week and my ecas updated another few days after that.

Cheers Gary_87 for your help and fast response. I messaged London on the day of your reply so just await for them to come back to me.

Hi everyone

I logged into ecas this morning and was very excited to see the permanent residence application status now says 'decision made'.

HOWEVER, I then logged into mycic and the info there is conflicting with this. Background check still says 'in progress' (it only changed to that 4 days ago), and final decision says 'not started'.

So I'm not sure which to believe. I guess the problem with two systems is the chance that they don't match.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Thanks!

Wow, that would be amazing! That sounds quite fast (between background checks and DM), but maybe the background checks have been going on for a while and they only updated it this week on MyCIC? Let's hope it's the latter and not a system mistake. We've been sharing the exact same timeline until now but mine doesn't say DM on ECAS. It will be interesting to see if this ever happened to anyone.

Update for spreadsheet please....

PA in Process on Ecas 23rd August 2016

I'll hold off updating the spreadsheet until you get to the bottom of it then!
