Got my Sponsor approval today! Freaking out a little bit, not going to lie. It's gone to the Ottawa office, and I'm now able to see everything in eCas.

So..

We received your application on July 11, 2016.
We started processing your application on July 28, 2016.
Sponsor Approval August 23, 2016

Approvals in Ottawa seem to be happening alarmingly fast, so we'll see how long it takes for full approval!

Updated!

And yes, Ottawa is quite quick, average of about 4 months, so you should hear pretty quick! :)

I had my Interview today in London. Lasted around 35 to 45 Minutes. Was quite detailed, mainly about relationship and our families. And I was told at the end that Eligibility Is Passed. :D

When can I expect Passport Request?

More Importantly. Can I visit my family in Pakistan before going to Canada once I get the visa? Or Do I have to go straight from UK to Canada?

Anyone Please?

Great news that it looks like you passed! :) No idea how long it will be until you get your PPR. You will have to send the physical passport. I don't think they hold it for that long, I want to say 2-3 weeks is the average? I seem to remember someone saying that but I may be way off.

You can go to Pakistan before you go to Canada, that's totally fine, you'll just have to make sure you land in Canada before your COPR expires. If you do a trip to Pakistan before you have your COPR make sure that you have someone watching your address for any post... if it were me, I would wait until you have COPR in hand before leaving the UK. :)

Thanks Schnookololy

I would definitely wait until I get my hands on COPR before I leave UK. Do they post it to your home? I though they would give it to me when returning the passport, more convenient that way. Anyway, let's hope for the best. Thanks

Yep, you'll get it at home. IT's a signed-for document so watch for the slip from Royal Mail. However since you have to send your passport, I would expect that they would request the passport then send you both your passport and COPR together. (I don't know for sure, that's just my assumption.)

You might want to post on the PK thread to get a better idea of timelines as they will be more experienced with that. :)

Okey doke, added!

Landed with my COPR on the 26th August (Friday) at Vancouver Airport. Pretty simple process, just took quite some time as there were so many students arriving for their study permits/work permits.

Good luck to everyone waiting to hear for SA, DM, PPR, COPR. Whichever stage you're at, hang in there and it'll happen eventually.

Thank you so much to everyone who's helped in this thread. Means a lot to have support. SchnookoLoly you are my hero!

All the best to everyone!
