Thanks a lot for that SM205.

Does anybody have a rough idea of when I can expect my permanent residency to come through, now that we have received a request for passport photos? We originally applied in October.

Thanks,

Ben

Paula - please post your timeline and I or one of the editors will add you in. The spreadsheet isn't open for public editing. :)

zwicker - As long as someone is at the BC address to receive any mail before your other half gets there then I'd suggest only changing it once for simplicity. More details here: http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Spousal_Sponsorship-Canada/FAQ#I_have_moved._Should_I_inform_CIC.3F As for timing from PPR to getting your COPR in hand, best bet is to just look at the spreadsheet, tehre's a column for DM (which is often PPR) and then COPR received. Anything from a few days to 6-8 weeks.

Kris4ever - you are added to the spreadsheet, but I can't PM you back because your inbox is full!

Here you go admins please add me on to the spreadsheet aswell!
Thank you!

We've also provided a dr's letter to let them know we're expecting a baby in Dec and they replied with instructions of how to add the baby once they're born.
Sincerely hoping it will all be done by then :)

Thanks for adding these details for me :)

Phillippa - My medicals expires in about a week, If I were you I would drop them a polite email in a couple of weeks time saying something like:

"I would not normally email unless there was something urgent, however my Medical result submitted with my Application are going to expire in a few weeks.

Please can someone advise what needs to be done regarding this and what we can do going forward."

Update:

I emailed LVO case specific enquiry on Monday (4th July) regarding my medical that is soon to expire in 4 weeks. Almost made myself insane this past week by logging into ECAS a million times a day since then and I finally just saw "DECISION MADE" today. Absolutely thrilled! Not sure if emailing them had anything to do with getting DM or not. I didn't receive an answer back regarding the email, just the DM status change. Thanks Kingsby for flagging up the idea to do this though.

Thank you to all the advisors and contributors on this forum! Your support is greatly appreciated.

I will now eagerly check the post for COPR.

Good luck to everyone!

FINALLY you got your decision made!! Congrats!!! Amazing news!! :)

I've had a look through the various spreadsheets relevant to me: Outland 2016, April 2016 and London but can't find what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have a general idea on how long it takes from SA or In Process to DM for London visa office? Not after a exact figure but just a general idea?

Thanks!

around 6-7 months on average, with a lucky few getting through in 4-5 months.

applicants who have submitted their apps in 2016 might see some improvement in processing time due to the higher spousal admissions target for this year's immigration levels plan (more info on that here). the spousal admissions target for 2015 was 48000, and for 2016 it has been upped to 60000. this number is not a cap/quota; it simply represents how much resources they'll allocate to each stream. if they reach the target, they will continue to process apps.

I was wondering this too. Thanks. Do you know if the 6-7 months includes the sponsor time? From the day they recieve the app?

From what ive seen it takes a bit longer through London. Applicants from October only seem to be getting dm now. Haven't seen any London apps from this year get dm yet.

if you include the time it takes to get SA, you're looking at anywhere between 8-10 months.

check out the spreadsheet in my link for more details. it's specific to pakistani applicants, but it'll still give you an idea of how far London VO has gotten in terms of processing since that's where all pakistani apps are processed. this past week, they began to work on applications submitted in november 2015.
