This will not impact your application in any way . I would suggest you use the U.K for residence and the Canadian for mailing , thats if your husband is going to stay in Canada . If not you can always change it later .

So we got the letter today , the one i was hoping we had escaped from . Yes they want new PR photos. This letter is to inform you that Permanent Resident Card cannot be issued without a complaint/acceptable photo .

We landed Dec 28th 2015

We are to send them x2 70mm /50mm colour or black and white with photographer stamp on the back of one photo. Stamped address enveloped included return address Sydney Nova Scotia .

What about the question where it asks for current country of residence -
I am adding country - Canada, Status - Visitor, From - Date we came to Canada and To - ???
He is currently in Canada so I guess it will be the day I send my application? I don't know when he is going back

I would use the date his return ticket is for or for when his 6 months is up .

yes.. It makes sense to put 6 months

I have had a similar situation where I'm not sure if a second correspondence was a ghost thing. I was requested 4 more photos, posted sent same day I received the correspondence. Then a week later I received the same exact email requesting 4 more even though my first batch had arrived in London (had them tracked). I was paranoid and sent more again just to be safe. They are still in transit. :/

Don't really know what to suggest. Just sit and wait. I'm in a similar pickle of not knowing whether it's all ok or if my application is delayed.

I had the same thing with the photos in January, my partner sent a slightly distraught email after we sent the third set saying that there were inconsistencies between the letter we received and the link embedded to the requirements (4 vs 2 pics required) and said maybe there were other inconsistencies and we would be most grateful for any advice. They responded saying the most recent photos met specifications and that the the letter had been updated. We really don't know what the issue was, but we were thinking that maybe when we sent the first new set that maybe the person looking at it was looking at the old spec, but who knows, we were just glad to get a response...

Oh my! You were lucky to get a response? How did you email? Via case specific enquiries? I emailed that way and never got a response. The letter totally didn't match the link, you're right. Also, both links in the letter said two different things. One photo box had "date, name and address of photography studio". The other link led to a page which had "name and date of birth, date, name and address of photography studio". Petty little differences but I've learnt these details are important. I gave 4 just to be safe (both times after receiving the letter twice). Very frustrating. Glad you got a reply from them. Did you also apply around October 2015?

Why is LVO slow again? are they currently working on sept applicants? no news from oct and nov applicants yet?

Hello

Hey,

Ready to pay and finish off organising my application.

When I pay online it asks where I'm applying from. I'm in Canada as a visitor, but applying Outland. Do I choose Canada or UK. I'll be paying in £.

Thanks!

Status update

Decision made 16th March

I received a final request email and was requested to send a photocopy of my passport along with 2 passport photos.

Does anyone know if this is a good sign????

Thanks, im hoping it is a good sign, I just dont understand why they request a photocopy of my passport when I had to send at least 1 with the initial application. Plus my application is being processed in Ottawa but the photocopies had to go to London
