Hello, had a decision made within ECAS :) However no more information is available other than 'DM', also not had any email to state DM - is this normal? I think the DM date was around 16/3.

Submitted my application on Dec 2.

Assume I now just wait for my COPR?

Congratulation, spread sheet updated . Yes just wait for that postman to arrive with your Corp . I never received any email or anything just DM on ecas.

Update;

Received an email today that stated the photos I had been sending were, in fact, correct and to spec, but the letter and link that CIC had sent me had conflicting info, and they would update their correspondence for the future. They told me this was due to the change in specs, so it seems the issue was not my photos, but some foul up at their end.

Now just wait and see...

Hi KForry, I had exactly the same situation back in January regarding photos. Asked for 4 new photos to send to London 8th January and asked again a week later on 19th January. I emailed a case specific enquiry after posting the second lot of 4 photos but had no response. So frustrating how their correspondence had no details whatsoever as to what was wrong with them and I'm still wondering everyday if all is ok with my photos that I've sent them. Seeing your post, I'm under the impression that all is ok and that it was a mix up on their end? I still have this constant worry though.

Congratulations! Hope it arrives quickly!

I didn't receive an email or anything either. Just a nice large brown envelope waiting for me one day after work :D

Congratulations Abydos!

I've seen comments in the past saying that Ottawa is slow but the spreadsheet would definitely argue otherwise. Seems like November Ottawa applicants are being processed faster than September and Octobers.

Thanks!

Ottawa was a bit slower than London on the spreadsheet until recently but the flurry of Ottawa DMs over the past couple of weeks seem to have sped it up. They weren't sending many London applications to Ottawa before autumn but then they sent lots. I wonder why.

May I be bold to ask a quick question? Posed by Wife and I cant answer...(Hard to search using my vague understanding/language used).

I'm an Brit Outlander. Plans to move to Canada to wait it out with the Canadian family whilst process is in.

How does the last piece work out?

Change registered address with them once i'm over there?
They send the paperwork there?
I then exit/re-enter Canada to finish up?

Thanks all.

You are coming to Canada to visit while waiting out the process.

1. Yes.

2. If you are referring to the COPR, yes, they will send it to you in Canada.

3. Yes. The other option is to make an appointment to land inland but that can take weeks to months to get.

Hello I have a question.
My husband got passport request today for visa. My husband used to live in UAE, during the process of sponsorship but now he is living in pakistan. however in the email it says that he has to submit his passport in abu dhabi. Can he submit it in pakistan? Would there be any problem?

Fantastic - yes, terminology, Visit is exactly what I meant...Thank you Canuck_in_uk

Easier all round to book a ticket back to UK within the 6 month period? One way tickets for us all at present.

To be safe, you should book yourself a separate fully refundable ticket back to the UK. You may or may not be asked for it. My partner and I travelled on one way tickets and I cancelled the return ticket the day after we got to Canada.

Has anyone had any problems leaving Canada and returning back again on a visitor visa document? Mine expires 30th June but just wanted to know if it's easy to travel on it?

Just like the work permit I had while on the IEC, it also states on the bottom, "not authorized for re-entry".

I got the third line on my PR today. Anxiously waiting for next step. Any idea how long it takes these days after getting third line on PR/ AOR2

So I landed yesterday at Toronto Pearson and it was much quicker than I thought it would be! Immigration was pretty quiet and the actual landing procedure wasn't much more than 10 minutes. I've been in Canada over a year though and already have my belongings etc so not much to do but stamp the COPR.

I was told that I would get a request for different sized photos for the PR card (mine were the specs when I submitted on 4th November) though.

Thank you to everyone here who helped with my questions and everyone who posts/shares - so so helpful! We would probably have ended up doing inland without the information on this forum!

:)

Spreadsheet: not sure if it matters but my file went in process on 14th of January (isn't on the spreadsheet at the moment).
