I would only assume this is a bad sign unfortunately.. I would be emailing CIC immediately.

This is actually a good sign! It means most likely they passed your eligibility and did no longer needed your originals. You should be hearing a good news any time now

Mary23 this is a good sign. Non visa exempt applicants, or at least Pakistani applicants get their applications/original documents sent back to to them around the time of DM.

Read a few pages back in the Pakistan/London thread and you will see other members receiving their originals back.

Thank god for that i nearly had a heart attack ... Mary and i have he same time line,Mary is non visa exempt and i am visa exempt .... Lets hope you get good news soon Mary

I got DM last week and now just got an email from CIC saying the following, any help would be really appreciated as I am confused about what to do.

A few questions:

1) My visa office was Ottawa yet this is showing Lima. I used to live in Bolivia but moved in September to Canada, my mailing address was the UK but I forgot to update my living address. They are asking for updated police reports from Bolivia but I cannot do that since I am no longer resident there and even if I was the police certificates take months. Do you know what I can do? Is there anyway to directly speak to someone? If so should I contact Lima or Ottawa? Has this happened to anyone else?

2)My medicals were completed in January 2015 so I assume they won't have expired?

Did you already send a police report from Bolivia ..Medicals are fine. I would email the lima office . Did they give you a timeframe to when they had to be submitted by?

Is the primary applicant British/reside in the UK? If so would you like to be added to the spreadsheet (link is in my signature)?

If so please provide the following (provide the parts you know):

-Date application received in Mississauga
-Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law
-Date of sponsor approval
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email)
-Date the permanent residence status changed to In Process on ECAS
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt (if non-visa exempt provide the applicant's nationality)
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific!
-Date of medical exam

I am the primary applicant and I am British and would like to be put on the spreadsheet thank you.

I will give you as much detail as I can as I do not have a confirmation email from CIC stating it has been received.

Date received 12th Nov ( date obtained through tracking the post)
Common law
I'm British (not sure if that makes me visa exempt or not)
Perth Australia (travelling and will change)
10th October medical

Yeah so far Australia has been great, my gf and I are just travelling while we wait for approval and decided to come to Australia, hence my local city will change a bit over the next few months! However I believe by the time the decision is made we will be in England

RE NO DISCLOSABLE COURT OUTCOMES on Australia POLICE CHECK

We have had the same email yesterday. My partner claims to never have been arrested in Australia, the police check stated NO DISCLOSABLE COURT OUTCOMES. To me his seems like there is nothing to report so I don't understand why a letter is required? Does he just write a letter explaining he has never been arrested in Australia. Do you have the documentation which explains that this is on all Australian police checks?!

Is is certainly a good sign and your case is near to end. Prepare to hear DM any day in this month. In our notes we found out that VO wrote very long and comprehensive comments (mainly extracts from our re-settling plan in Canada, which I and my wife wrote separately when filed the application), and in the end he / she was satisfied and suggested thinning of the file and asked OCS (I don't know who) to return the docs to PA. Yesterday we got them back without letter and couple of docs were missing in the package.
